Good bindings for PE

Im a agressive skier. I beat the shit outta my equipment and me. I need a good binding that can hold up to the beating i give. Somthing with a high din too. They will be going on PEs.

marker titanuim 1200 freeride.....i know marker is kinda old fashoined but they made a great freeride binding

Since PEs are kinda heavy, get anything real lite. i made a mistake and got my binds with lifters which made them even heavier. dont do dat.

mike gutt says pep uses the rossi freeride 180 ( good luck finding that) and the look p 12, dont go with markers ( to heavy) or salomon ( to much lift) i agree with cedric, tyrolas are tough, theyre basically a racing binding which are incredibly tough

I'd go with the Looks... but when you land funny and the bindings rape you, the shape does matter.

Also, PEs are light and binding's weight isn't nearly as important as swing weight.

yeah the marker 1200 titanium series is light as long as you don't have the plate thingy

I have salomon 914s on mine. You can mount them without the plates, put them directly onto the ski. I have look ZRS on my concepts, they are good except I broke the plate under the turntable 3 times so far...good warranty. Markers are the worst bindings in the world.

yea, if you really beat the shit out of bindings check out the look race bindings. they're metal so it'll be tough to brake those.

i was mounting my rossi race stocks and it fuckin snaped shut on my finger... severe nerve damage and one fucking huge crack in my bone....

be carful when you mount them... i dont know what i was thinking

1) Why do you need such a high DIN? I bet you don't weigh over 200 lbs...so something up to 12 will suit?

2) Markers have some issues......many will agree.

3) Why do you care so much about weight? Are you hiking with them (have to carry them up the hill?) Weight of a binding won't make a lickin difference when it's attached to your foot.

Looks are solid bindings. Salomon S912 Ti are sweeeeetttt.....every pair of my skis has those bindings on them. I've had the best luck with those fer sher.

first he didnt complain about waeight, he said it wasnt a factor, and you want bindings with a high din, becaus evenif he wouldnt use the 14 which depending on how strong he is he probably would,but the bindings work best if they arent cranked up to their full din because of spring tension

I found some rossi freeride 180's on some japanese site, But i cant find it now. Plus, I have no idea about anything on there, the pricing and stuff.

1) I want somthing with a high din setting so i can ride it at 11 or 12 and not have it cranked all they way. I need my skis to STAY ON. Ask most good skiers what they ride at and you will be surprised.

2) Markers are most likley outta the question

3) I said weight is NOT an issue.

cj, i just got some new PEs and some new P12 lifters for them. if you search ebay a lot, you can get brand new P12s or even P14s for about $100, that's what i got mine for. then just remove the lifters, and you have a sick setup.

whoever said get marker's, wow, good call buddy. If you want you rbindings to stay on, you gotta crank those suckers. I would go with look/rossi or salomon, because of the pivot in the toe peice. It has more elasticity so if you are borderline wether you are gonna eject or not, they will hold ya in for a second and allow you to try and regain your balance, thus keeping you from a yardsale. just my piece

Rossi bindings are, i think, even made in the same factory as look, but whatever the case, they are nearly exact in design. I had Rossi 100 Pros, solid solid binding. I thrash my shit on occasion and those held on strong. look has a nice slim profile so your skis flex doesn't change much. if you want solid indestructible binding, look into the Look Z Race. Very expensive, but this binding is basically all metal so you can't braek it no matter what. its also extremely light (just an added bonus)

as far as salomon goes, i had bad luck with them, they kept getting real loose on me, so i had to really crank them so they wouldn't.

marker... hmmm nah, they pop out alot, and break. never ridden a pair but thats what i hear from reliable sources.

all in all go for the Look P12, P14, Z Race, check out the Look trouble maker binding too. (skiershop.com) Rossi is also something to look at, same solid design. but personally id go with the looks.

I have the Marker Titanium 1200 piston control and i have them cranked to the max which is 12 and they still come off some times. I wouldnt recommend them. And some of the plastic has broken off of them.
