Good bindings for 200 lb all mountain skier....

Like I said I'm looking for some good bindings. I ride 50% mountain and 50% park and they will be mounted on 178 Line Chronics. I'm not the craziest skier who hits huge jumps, I just want something that will get me through a few seasons.

I was looking at the Marker Griffons, but heard of people saying they have some issues with breaking since they are plastic, etc. Now I'm thinking of FKS 140's.

Help please.

Also, what are pivoting bindings?

pivoting bindings pretty much have a turntable type heel piece. It not only lifts up and down, but side to side as well.

I would go for either the FKS 140 or the older 155 model, if you can find them. The 155 features a full metal toe just like the 180 has, just the lower rated spring (starts at 6)

Also check out the STH driver 14 and 16. Both are bomber bindings.

Salomon 16s are way stronger than FKS/Pivot. I've broken parts repeatedly on FKS heels but no problems with Salomons. Hell, I'd take Tyrolia 15s over FKS now. Get old 916s or the 16 Steel if you want them totally bomber and don't mind the weight.

Thanks for all the help so far.

I was just reading about the Jesters, are they pretty bomb proof compared to the Griffons?

The STH 14 Drivers look pretty solid too.

Tyrolia Peak 15's look nice too.

Max I want to spend is around $300-$325, with that said, what would be good?

Just don't even bother with Markers. I have sth 12 drivers on my park skis and put them through the meat grinder every other day, and sth 14 drivers on my powder skis, and they take more abuse than a fat Warcraft kid in middle school.

Ever time a binding thread comes up everyone suggests the most expensive bindings, and doesn't listen at all to what the person is actually looking for. If you're 200 and ski 50% light park, you will be fine with some px12s, fks aren't necessary

STH 14 Drivers can be found for $230. There's a cheap binding, and then there's an inexpensive binding. Don't cheap out on your bindings
