I just started to get into the park seen in beginning of the 2009 season and have learned to love skiing. Now I just need the right skis. I don't want any advanced skis, just good beginner twin tips that are good for park and all mountain. Comment if you have any particular ski in mind.

60 percent park 40 percent all mountain...sorry if my messages are all over the place...im new to ns and this is my first time using gear talk.

If your looking for a brand new ski in your price range, then you don't have a whole lot of options. I know the Line Afterbang is around $300, but is a 100% park ski. I would recommend a used pair or Rossignol Scratch's, around 171 length. Good all around ski. Either those or Line Blends.

I have some 07 dynastar troublemakers and they are good park skis that handle really good all over the mountain. They even hold up in pow (kinda). They are kinda stiff and 79 underfoot. I would recommend them. And because of the year, you could get some for a good price

Try and find some of last years skis, there are some sweet deals out there. Look at skis like Volkl Ledge, K2 Silencer, Rossignol S2, or Line Masterminds - good stuff for beginner-intermediate skiers at a pretty good price. (personally, S2s or Masterminds would be my top pick, but Silencers were my first park ski too, so you can't go wrong with them either).

S2s most likely, then Masterminds, then Silencers, although all 3 will be fine for a beginner.

check your shop first and see what they can offer you, sometimes you'll find that buying in a shop is a way better deal in the long run cause they'll usually give you a discount on mounting and what-not.

Definately check your shop first, and i was about to recomend the line masterminds but flashkick beat me to it. Masterminds are a great all around ski that wont break the bank. But don't think because there cheap that they arent of ass good quality or performance. Many pros (LJ strenio) use the masterminds.....all preference. Good Luck!

I feel like i saw a pair of S2s in buy sell trade for around 150. If you can find em those are some pretty fun skis. They're kinda stiff, but that should be good if you are new to park and they're super durable. Have fun

I would say try to get the S2s first, then the Masterminds. I had the Masterminds and they were fun, but when I tried out the S2s, I felt like that was a better ski.
