^Simmer down...

I bought a handmade guitar from a mexican dude for 100 bucks.. it sounds good, and I learned on it. Just get something that sounds good and that you like.

dont buy a "beginner" guitar. if you really want to play guitar and not just try out get a better one. it will be a lot easier to play than with a cheap one.

yeah or an art and lutherie. they are really quality quitars(smae company as seagull). if you have a kennelly keys near you, you cna get one for 100$ used because they rent them out and eventually sell them when they are scratched and stuff. thats what i did.

It's definitely better to buy a good 2nd hand one rather than an okay new one (probably works out costing about the same), at least then it'll have good hardware, will be nice to play and'll sound good. Also if you don't like it and decide to sell it on you'll get your money back (whoever you sell it to will have no idea you bought it 2nd Hand). Just check the necks straight and there's no cracks to the body that've been filled and someone's tried to hide.

i got somethin called a Johnson from my parents for christmas...i kno it wasnt to bad like under 200..i dont kno much bout guitars but its workin fine for me
