I need to get some new speakers for my college apartment. The ones I have now are $40 Insignia computer speakers with a sub. I'm looking to upgrade to something better quality that will last me a long time. Any suggestions?

Price range? And do you need a receiver or are you looking for computer speakers pretty much? Bookshelf or floorstanding?

B&W Nautilus.

You will be standing knee deep in well fit clunge when you unleash Wonderwall on these shells.

I've got a fairly small apartment, in a complex and I've never received any complaints.

I've got two of these

Three of these, two behind the couches, one by the TV

And an older JVC receiver. I like Sony stuff, it is crazy durable ( it's survived 4 moves, college parties etc) The best part is I've had these for about 10 years, and they still sound like new. It cost about 600ish when I bought it all, but it's completely worth it if you take care of it.

I have klipsch/thx speakers. They are aux, and have a sub that fucking bumps. Good quality overall, my parents picked them up for me for a couple hundred at london drugs I think.

Klipsch makes outstanding audio products. I want a pair of ear buds from them, but they cost upwards of $250.

not sure what the price range is but if you're looking for quality these are pretty solid. Sonos

If you're really into it you can get a speaker for each room and bridge them all together for a super sound system.

If you're looking for just a single set of speakers that delivers Awesome sound you can also check out the Monster Clarity HD.

For those of you that don't know.

MSRP $50,000

Sorry for the slow response but I'm looking at a price range of around $300. When my dad was in college (close to 30 years ago) he bought some Bose speakers with a receiver that we still use today and sound amazing, so I'm thinking about maybe getting something like that and just take good care of them.

The one thing I do want is good bass so I would want a sub with any speakers I buy.

Look for a receiver used at a pawn shop or something like that. You can find some real nice ones there on the cheap and then you have more speaker budget. Just test it out there to see if it works.

The z5500s i posted are really good, have a big sub that hits its highs and lows and are right in your price range

I never would have thought about this. It's a good idea

Nah the girls below hated you because you were the creepy retard that kept trying to hit on them.

I cant help myself, I love the thick bitches

Keep in mind that Bluetooth connected speakers have some loss of quality/clarity/loudness. I highly recommend going wired.

Get a Bose SoundDock. Not only do they thump and fill your apt with sound, but you can take them where ever you damn well please.

Its a little pricy but bluetooth speakers are the way to go. they are mobile, light, and work pretty damn good. I like my mini Modal. they wont make the whole dorm bump for a party but they def wont piss anyone off
