Ive been on 1080's for a few years, and I have forgotten the solid fast joy of a stiffer all mountain ski, I rode on my friends skis and they were awsome, but I want to try some others. Any recomendations for a pair?
what places do you ride? I find for out east, volkl G3's and X-screams seem to be the best rides, whereas out west it will probably be different. For the deepest bases and highest quality though, my bud who runs the tune shop says buy either volkl's or sally's.
I'm on the concepts and love them, but mostly ski in edmonton (aka, shortest, smallest chairlift in the world)though they were great all mountain. though they wern't fat enough for the powder. I saw a lot of ski patrolers in the montains on rossi banditXX/b2s. I havn't heard anything negative about them really yet. demo as many midfats as you can. that is the best I can do for you.

for stiff twins... go with the mad-trix, the tweaks, the concepts, or armadas i hear. for all mountain in a non-twin though, probably go rossi bandits.

depends on what you ride. I find for out east the volkl G3's, bandit X's and x-scream series are what most ride. I like my x-screams, and the G3's are nice, but really stiff. the bandits are just kinda blah.
Crossmax are great skis...check out the Salomon screams as well, that pilot system kicks ass. If you're not a racer the screams might be a better ski because the base won't require so much wax. The Crossmax's base is a more aqueous base so it will require more waxing...but on the contrary it is tougher.
The bumps at my mountain suck because they are made by really shitty skiers and they have no rythm or line, so I dont care about bumps, just powerder and crud.
G4 is sweet for sure...and really cheap right now!! It would be a great ski for everything you've mentioned, especially if you like to ski fast. Another ski to consider: The R:EX is very sweet, but not as nice as the G4. If you like to make shorter turns, the salomon Pocket Rocket is unbeatable in the trees, even better than the G4.
Head Monster iM 85 is the best ski I have ever skied, and im a former racer that has tried many different kinds of skis. Stiff Smooth and just fat enough. Awesome everywhere at anytime.
