I am currently a junior in high school, and I am considering going there. Furthermore, has anyone on NS gone or know anything about the school.

I know their mascot is Spike the Bulldog. Anyone else know anything about Gonzaga?

I know they're good at basketball. Anyone else know anything about Gonzaga?

NS’s resident princeton grad here to tell you the only degree worth more than 5k$ a semester in total tuition costs is engineering.

otherwise college is nothing more than 4 yrs to party, and listen to leftist asshole professors lie to you about how their education of you is more than 1% as correlated to your adult intelligence as the intelligence of your parents is.

I have a friend who really enjoyed her time up there. She stayed in Washington after graduating, so clearly she likes the state. Spokane is a bit remote. Not a ton of skiing in the immediate vicinity, but it gets better as you start branching out. Schweitzer is 2 hours away. Have you toured the school? You can learn a lot about the culture by visiting the campus. Another thing - basketball is obviously important to the identity of Gonzaga. People will ask you about it whenever you tell them went to Gonzaga. I hope you like basketball

Dolan didn't go to Princeton but is absolutely right about this.

I grew up in Spokane and Gonzaga sucks ass. There is really no good student life, downtown Spokane doesn't really have much to do and aside from Mt. Spokane its an 1 hr 45 min drive to Schweitzer for skiing. Its basically a douche preppy religious school where you do cocaine and get bored. The basketball team is good and Spokane gets more or less stoked on them during March Madness but nobody in town likes the school and usually hates most of the players anyway. I would not recommend going there at all to anyone. I actually had a buddy that went there and we felt bad for him for it.

If you want a dope local college check out North Idaho College in Coeur d' Alene . Its pretty close to Schweizer and Silver for skiing, you are literally right on the beach of the most beautiful lake in North America and there are tons of other lakes and sweet camping around. The vibe is super chill and its not a shit catholic "Duke of the Northwest" like Gonzaga is.

Again, Gonzaga sucks ass.
