I don't know how to make international calls, but 801 is the area code, so however you get connected to America (I think you just dial 1), then the number you have.

if your calling the US from out of the country then this should be your number

1-801-803-9111

if that was the right number you supplied. check their website again for an international number though.

the number "1" is the country code like everyone has been telling you

Norway's country code is 47. The US is 1. So if you need to dial 0047 to dial out to Norway you likely need to dial 001 to dial out to the US.
Also, I'd use skype if I were you, way cheaper if you have an internet connection (2 cents a minute).

If you are not on a cell phone, it won't have a +, so you put a zero instead.
