I was thinking about buying the Taylor made Burner 2.0 Driver! I can get it for a decent deal and was wondering if anyone else likes this one. Like I said its just an opportunity I have.

I currently have the Nike Sasquatch Square driver and its like swinging bricks! Wouldn't mind something new for a decent price. I dont play as much as i used too so a more expensive one wouldnt be worth it!

Opinions..

Thanks!

Do you not have the oppurtunity to try it out?

My dad has the burner and I really like it, much prefer it over the titliest 910 D2.

I would try it out first though before you buy it unless thats not an option.

The burner 2.0 is a good buy. I don't have one myself but I've swung one before and liked it. It's pretty light too, so you'll want to make sure you get it with the right shaft.

I literally just bought this club two weeks ago and I have played it 4 times and it is hands down the best driver I have ever played. I have put a solid 20 or 30 yards on my drives just by switching clubs. If yo ucan get a good deal on it definitely buy it.
I got a snazzy white grip on mine I look like a steez machine on the tee box. hahaha But yes I highly recommend it.

Thats awesome! Yea i have all taylormade irons and there awesome!

And of course I can try her out before buying. My buddy did say the shaft was lighter than he likes but I like how that feels!

Thanks!

Honestly golf clubs are so subjective. It all depends on your swing. It is also been proven that the look of the driver can affect how you hit it. I couldn't hit original sasquach driver because the looks threw me off. I currently have the Nike machspeed black and absolutely kill it. But if you hit it consistently well I say go for it. You can't really go wrong with the taylormades.

I personally am not a big fan of the Burner 2.0 but I do know quite a few people including my brother that love theirs. Definitely get rid of that Nike SQ I had one a while back and it was terrible.

Always try before you buy. each golfer prefers a certain weight and length to their clubs. taylor mades especially the burners are really light i didnt like i tried the r7 super quad since it had more weight for my swing speed and shot shaping ability. so try before you buy

I know people who use burners and really like them. But I also know someone who uses a driver that is about 15 years old. Thing hits just as long and as straight as any new driver when its in his hands.

Its just a matter of preference. I would go to a sporting good store, IE Dick's or Sport Authority, and test them out.

sexy club..if you like it definitely go for it. i'm in the market for a new driver as well. probably gonna go with a last years model or something thats been slightly used.

used to play a taylormade burner before the new models came out and i really liked it. but they are nice. go to a shop and try one out before you buy. then you'll know for sure

Oh yea Ping and Titleist are all up there!

Im saying its probably the best bang for the buck!

If I played a ton more I would consider it but for the amount I play and the price I dont think I can beat it.

i had a burner. Its a good driver for someone who isnt very consistent. Best way to see if you like it is to go and hit it. Just because its taylor made doesnt mean it is best for you. You should look around at all different companys too(ping, adams, titleist, nike...)

Ive got a cobra bit sceptical when i was shopping around because its not that popular in australia but man it fuckin hits dingers as cunt

Honestly, drivers are like ski boots. Some clubs don't work for some people. If you can go to a golf center or shop. Many of them have golf simulators where you can try any driver you want. Find one that fits your swing/tendencies. If you draw the ball, one driver will be better than another. The golf tech at the shop should help you out.

Exactly Ill see tomorrow ill try to find out and see if i can hit one at least in a simulator.. i do like the adjustable drivers too wont lie there..

like buddy above me mention, drivers are just too subjective.

i had a r5 and loved it, regular shaft, hit straight and consistent evertime.

got a r7 with a regular shaft and hated it. im no taller, no more stronger, didnt put on and pounds etc.

then i got a nike sumo sasquatch and that thing was so inconsistent. either bombs or fuckin heaters into the trees.

now i have a r11 regular stiffness, 9 degrees, adjusted tex wheight to drown out my natural lefty bend. hits bombs.

works for me, might not work for you.

go to a golftown or pga store. hit everything. talk to someone who knows what theyre looking at, will measure your swing speed etc.... THEN select a driver.

asking people is the burner is sick seems retarded. of course its sick. almost every manufacture makes a wicked driver. it just depends which one is best for your game.

I used to have the 2010 burner before I broke it and replaced it with the Burner Superfast. I have really liked both clubs. However, you need to go into your local golf store and test out a variety of clubs. Unless you're an insanely good golfer, you probably won't notice a huge difference between the major brands (Cleveland, Titleist, Taylormade, Callaway...). My recommendation would be to buy whatever is cheap as long it tests well into the net.

I picked up my driver from a thrift store for $7. Best deal ever. Actually, my whole set cost around $35.

go to a golf town or something and try it. i love my burner (i think its the 2010 version), and i tried out basically every models newest driver and preferred it over them.

You gotta touch it and see if you like the look and feel. Grips and shafts can be changed and the shaft most likely should be changed. I think it performs well and it has a really nice look to it. If you have the option of getting it for a price I say go for it.

I still use the SuperQuad because of how great it looks and feels, with a new shaft of course.

i have it and absolutely hate it. this is different from most people so don't listen to me. it just didn't work out for me.

then why on earth would you change it?

ive used the same G2 for the past bunch of years. only club of mine that ever gets replaced is my sandwedge because i normally wear through the face every year or so. and even then i buy the same cleveland wedge every time.

funny note.

my dad has taken lessons for the past few years trying to keep up with his boys. last time he told the instructor he wanted a new driver. the pro took his driver, bombed 3 back to back, and then said "no, your drivers fine"

i just got the rbz and it absolutely murders the ball, i tried the burner and the rbz at the same time and for me, the rbz was much better. but both are good clubs, so go with whatever is within your price range and you hit the best with.

TaylorMade makes some of the best clubs, their burner has became kind of their cheaper clubs. Yet, its still a freaking great club, I use a Ping G-15 but I borrowed my buddies Burner and shot even par at a tourney/claim. Good club and reliable.

The Burner is the cheaper Driver and is made for golfers with a slower swing speed. The club head is designed to give added distance for golfers with that slow swing speed. I myself hate the driver because I have a 107mph swing, but if you're anywhere between 80-90 you might find it more compatiable.

could this be why i can't hit the thing for shit? I swing around 110, but i do have a stiff shaft and 9.5 loft so i figured it'd be fine.

Yeah my buddy has a burner with a stiff shaft and I can't ever make solid contact with it, it's the way they designed the club head to eliminate wind resistance, if you have a fast swing speed and are looking for distance and accuracy I would put down the extra money and get the R11, it's what I have with a stiff shaft and I smack the ball 300 yards dead ass fairway everytime. Works for me
