swear to god. i am not good at golf. and my dad, me and my friend all saw who could make this putt in the least amount of strokes for a dollar, just messin around cause we had time. i fucking put it right in. i wish it was on video cause itll never happen again hahaha
haha just like my 165 yard shot into the hole with my 5 iron. something im proud to bring up in golfing conversations because i know ill never do it again.
yup i golf, a lott, i loved the one time i was in a match with our school and i had 40 ft putt and took like 1 minute to read and putt it, and sunk it, and then the kid on the other team took like 5 minutes for a 3 footer, and he missed, hahahaha newb
i golf...and by golf i mean that I drink beer on the golf course and occassionally run down my friends with the cart right as they're getting ready to take a shot.
true story, cant make this shit up
so im on the tee box and like 9ish feet infront off the tee box are like 6 or 7 dowel rods (small wooden rods) sticking out of the ground. Well i place my ball (no homo) on the tee and swing away. hits one of the dowels and bounces back at me.
yea no offense seriously but i've been golfing since i was like 9.... you didn't hit a 60 ft put. you'd be hard pressed to even find a green that big. it was prob more like 30 ft, but that is still a really really dirty ass putt.
I love golf. I can't afford to go as much as I want to, but I try to make it out at least once a week. I just picked up a TaylorMade Tour Burner and it has pretty much revolutionized my driving game. My best games this year was an 80 (par 71) and a 36 (par 32). I'm stoked.
i can't stand golf, but that's because i suck at it and find it incredibly boring. I've been told by a good golfer that it actually does suck terribly unless your good, which i could see being true, but i don't have the time to get good. Lacrosse is my sport
I think if you routinely shoot over 100 and cant hit the ball off the ground golf sucks. But the main appeal is that youre always playing against yourself. And its always a mental game to improve just as much as it is physical...
Its great because its a game you can play your whole life and pretty much always have a good time... because its just you against your own expectations.
next time i go golfing i am taking a god damned tape measure and measuring the shit. as well as taking pics. pin won't be in same location, but you'll get the gist.
pin was in far back and we putted from front of the green. 60 ft.
Get a lesson. Sounds like youre just coming over the top on your downswing... really common mistake for beginners and easily fixed...
If you put a bit of time into getting lessons, preferably with video and whatnot too you can get so much better. If you dont know what youre doing wrong you cant improve...
Thats what i like about golf. Every round i go out there with this idea of what i want to do with my swing and how i want to play and try and execute that as well as i can.
60 feet is fucking huge dude. If you hit it, props to you. Ive been playing since i was like 6 and I work at a really nice golf course. The biggest green there is probably 60 feet front fringe to back so its definitely possible.
