...is my second favorite sport!! I play on my high schools' team, and it's so much fun. even the matches are laid back, no pressure, just there to chill. It's the only sport I've ever played where it's more social than competitive.

I went out to the driving range with the team today(course has snow on it), and second ball was out around 150. pretty dope considereing I haven't touched my clubs since the summer! just like skiing, it comes right back =)

anyone play golf?

i used to play golf alot when i was a youngin' but then i stopped for a few years, and now all my ski buddies are getting into it and my dad bought me a pass to the course, so i'll try my hand at it, granted i'm sure alot if it will end up happy gilmore style, but what the hell its more social than anything for me.

your second ball was 150?? I hope that was with a 9 iron or something man, thats real sad if its your driver. But yea, golf is awesome. I played in high school, im about a 10 handicap and i still play about 4-6 times every week during the summer.

yea, i played like ass cuz i hadn't swung a club since around september and i used rental clubs, but it was fun nonetheless. so sick, all the finishing holes on the front and back 9 were along the water. we all teed up balls on the 17th teebox and saw how far we could hit them into the ocean...i don't know why it was so fun, but it was funny. probably because we hadn't stopped drinking since the night before.

I golf on my high school team. I just got back from our first practice. I shot a 51 on 9 holes....Ouch! Oh well first day and it was crappy weather. Golf is pretty fun if you do it with your friends. Great for school too. you get out of 6 full days of school and then when i make it to state i get out for three days in a row of school. That is awsome.

yeah i play golf as soon as all the snow is gone.. its like ur depressed for a week with no snow then u get into golf n its all good.. but 150 on ur 2nd shot WOOHOO? lol

 
golf is the shit. it keeps me together in the summer until skiing comes back around

haha ya I'm not too good but here you don't have to be very good to play on the team, and to beat other girls in matches! haha...I was getting closer to 200 by the time I was leaving. and I was amped my shots went straight, because last year they hooked to the right. but golf is dope shizzle!!!!!!

i can only have fun playing golf if i fuck around. when i play for real, i always get pissed because i am so terrible. on 9 holes, at the "kids" course in our town, i get like fuckin 65. its pathetic and hillarious at the same time.

golf is definately a good game, I just wish it was a bit cheaper to play. I usually end up paying like $70+ during the summer to play 18 holes. My other option is to play a couple crappy courses for like $50.

Word to the wise, remember the old adage about golf, drive for show, putt for dough. I used to have a sick short game, but couldn't drive, so I took a summer, developed a strong drive and my short game fell to shit (there aren't too many courses where a 300 yard drive is a useful tool - I've tee'd off with an iron farther than the rest of my group driving). For the last couple years I've been trying to bring it all back together. I'll typically shoot 80's-mid 90's on 18 depending on the course.

life is too short to have any regrets

Golf is so much fun to just go out and fuck around...last fall on the golf teem we took a canoe out onto the lake during the state tourniment it was so much fun.

my club membership just went up this year because memberships went down, im so pissed. I play a titleist 975D with titleist 762 irons and a 52 nike wedge and 56 and 60 cleveland wedges with a white hot rossie putter. Usually shoot low 80's, if anyone is in northeast CT and wants to play this summer, let me know.

im on a highschool team too. its so laid back that even my coach goes into the woods and light one up during it. no joke

I am a 2 handicap...I used to post between 60 and 70 rounds every summer in high school...now I play less frequently, but still play to around a 5 hdcp.

2 weeks ago i got my longest drive ever. the hole was just over 400 yards i say 425 max and i was a soft pitchin wedge away about 50 or 60 yards

Golf is pretty sick.

I went golfing yesterday and the wind was so bad that i lost every ball i played!

The best thing is buggys just try not to drive them into bunkers.
