Golf Carts

Does anyone know how to take the governor off of an EZ-GO Golf Cart? We use them at my job, and they are WAY slow, especially going down hill. Any Ideas?

If you push the gas down and release rapidly and repeatetly the governer doesnt detect the speed...hehe. I have gone well over 35 in the carts at my club

i've gone over 35mph also. don't try to turn doing 35 on a steep fairway hill after rain, the outcome will result in an injured shoulder.

i saw a guy flip a golfcart going down a hill, it was the funniest thing ever! he put it in nutral or turned it off or somthing so it would go faster down the hill, then they hit a rock and fliped. the cart was alright, but the guy riding it cut up his arm pretty bad. And the funniest part is that the owner was watching them and saw the whole thing happen....

I know how to on the club cars. There is a panel on the back right where you put your clubs take that off and there is a level with some rubber on it and you pull it out and up then back in. It works really well except my club hates us for doing it. Ya i have rolled a couple of carts doing this, and it is really hard on the engine. For and easy go cart i think you do the same except you need a golf tee or something to place it in. And an easier way to get into the back without unscrewing the holes is to pull the end that is closest to the front and it pops up.

if there electric you cant, but on gas ones theres a wire going across the middle of the engine below the seat you can jam a pop bottle in-between the side wall and the cord, then the real fun begins! (be careful not to get caught or flip)

^yup, you;' right. although most carts will have a plastic box around that wire, but that can be easily broken off. the realashonship is: the tighter the wire is pulled, the faster the cart will go. you can just slide the wire over a nearby bolt to tighten it. or actually take the time to use tools to tighten it similar to the way you would tighten a brake cable on a bike.

HEll yea good tips im goin to try this on the cart at our cabin!
