yesterday (10-29) boston got hit with a spontaneous storm that left 2-3 inches in the city and up to 8 in other parts of MA, whiel VT, NH and ME got nothing

now i woke up this morning and it was ALL GONE!!! ALL OF IT!!!!

firstof all, the weathermen suck for not calling

second of all, a storm this early this big i can't even remembering ever happening

third of all, why is it so early?

fourth of all, WHY COULDN'T IT STAY
 
hey you fucker come to colorado. down by boulder we get 2 feet of snow on a monday and on wendsday its all gone.
 
Its also october, snow doesnt stay unless its cold, which it doesnt say that cold in october.

Also golbal warming is bullshit, there is nothing we can do, and its just gonna get colder now, not warmer.

The winter season is growing longer every year we are progressing toward another ice age so global warming is just going to make the snow storms stronger and stronger evry year
 
i think global warming is just something scientists made up so they could get everyone to stop wasting energy
 
It pretty much is, golbal warming is natural. But as soon as it hits a certain point, it just gets colder every year.

global warming may have melted ur snow but its also what caused it to snow so early. with this global warming the polar ice caps are melting cause the ocean levels to rise which cause freak storms like Katrina. but in the winter when its cold enough those freakishly big storms cause snow. it rocks because we get so much extra snow. for example in my town last year we had the biggest storm we've had in 15 yrs. where i live the most we get in the valley is like 6 in. last year it was 3ft! once it get cold enough and the ground freezes all the snow will stay.
 
guys, for us, global warming is a good thing, for all of the above reasons.

Also, we've been in an ice age for a loooong time time, and we've been in a warm period for a couple thousand years...its only a matter of time before we dive back into real cold...and THAT, will be fucking sick!
 
LOL global warming is NOT natural, it has been proven time and time again, I'm not going to go into details cause all you preteen people on here are not gonna understand and just bitch. Climate change can be natural, but it is NEVER this drastic. Glaciers have completely dissapeared or been cut in half in only 30 years, so NO its not normal.

Catagory 5 hurricanes happen every year and every now and then they do hit land. 2 bad hurricane years makes every1 forget about a decade of minimal hurricane activity. Everything in nature balences out to a certain extent and this is no exception. Katrina wasnt a freak storm, it was the first bad storm to hit that region since camille. Quit being retarded
 
I wasnt fuckin talking about hurricanes douchebag, Im talking about what concerns skiers = glaciers and snow. Its NOT normal that in the past 50 years, glaciers have melted like they have and snow doesnt even fall where it used too.
 
Cyclical warming is a natural occurance. As already mentioned, it just doesn't happen this quickly. At the unnatural rate the earth is currently warming, cold winters could disappear in Eastern Canada, New Zealand, and Southern Europe by 2080.
 
global warming isn't going to be an 'sudden' thing that happens. Snow out west has been shitty lately, but i checked the 40 year snow report for fernie and it shows that in the first 20 years of that report, there were 5 winters with less then half the average snowpack, and in the following 20 years (up to 2003) there were 6. Not a big difference...looks like it's a normal trend for out west.

Doesn't really fit with the original post, but i thought i'd share that anyways..
 
you guys are really stupid, my friend who is a climatologist says they expect a cooling trend to occur within the next few years. Do you remeber about ten years ago when scientists were screaming "Global cooling!" Were going into another Iceage!. Now that its warming "Global warming, it will be a catastrophy!"

Self important scientists of any disipline are always trying to create a "Buzz" in their area of study to be the center of scientific attention. Stop crying about global warming, you have no idea what will happen. Y2K WERE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!
 
hes right snow has been HORRIBLE we were only 200 inches above average last season and a whoppping 700 inches last year, that fucking sucks.
 
Have you ever heard of the Northwest? Or Whistler? That is not the case. Global warming causes shorter winters, warmer temperatures until we reach a point that the atmosphere cannot sustain itself, then we relapse into an ice age...

jesus... we will see less snow as the years progress... What happened in WHistler and Tahoe last season, both were flukes, but the global trends are different then you suggest.
 
Hmm calling us preteens. Yet the first word you use is "lol". Definately shows the credibility of your maturity level. Yes it has been this drastic as science has also proved. There have been times when almost the whole damn world is a glacier. The world goes through NATURAL CYCLES. Who is to tell how long or how drastic they will be. No one is. You can't prove that it's not a cycle just as i can't prove it's not global warming. Get over yourself, you aren't better than anyone on here.

actualy it is, just the same as it is now, it happend 12,000 years ago before the last big ice age, long warm period, followed by an ice age.
 
Hmm i wrote a 20 page paper on Global Warming last year, i'll try to remember some of the key points...First and formost, global warming is natural, we have just made it occur faster due to our fossil fuel usage. Secondly, global warming is having literally NO EFFECT on this watsoever. In the last few DECADES the average temperature has increased maybe 3! Degrees Celcius! Thats all, no more, it is very very gradual and is not a huge problem. Everything you are hearing is what the media tells you...And so no, this was not due to global warming, and if we are moving towards another ice age, it is very very slowly and the changing climates, early snows, late snows etc are completely natural.
