Going urban

its a rail, rails are made of metal, so are your skis edges. Metal on metal = damage

if you have ever done a rail at a resort then looked at your skis invision that look, its gona be the same. The only thing that recks them more is when you biff hard and the ski smash's into concrete. So either yous your old/rock skis or find a cheep set of used ones if your really really worried about damaging your skis.

or just urban when there is more snow on the ground so that it doesn't matter if you fall off

um just go to the ski equipment forum, make a post looking for your size of skis, but ask for urban skis, someone will sell u some beat up skis for cheap

shitty skis are key. i thought we had enough snow one day and i was using my regular skis and they dragged on the pavement for a couple of seconds while riding in the trunk and they tore up the bottoms. worst mistake i have made in a while. be smart before you just go

its not that rail thats gunna damage ur skis its the pavement after/to the sides thats gunna ruin ur skis. so just worry about that not the rail.. but yes shitty skis are needed.
