Going skinnier/shorter?

Whens the last time you bought shorter skis than your prior pair, or even skinnier skis? As I think back to my skis over the years they just get longer and fatter everytime, I'm eventually gonna hit a wall right?

Any of you guys downsize? Everytime I buy a longer, bigger ski I'm happier with it, small skis suck.

I've been doing the same, at least with in the quiver specifics of the ski, park skis get fatter (slightly longer) pow big mtn get wider, though with the decrease in overall size in the ski industry, the longest skis available keep getting shorter.

a few years ago i went from some 193 dynastar v8's to 185 pocket rockets. of course the rockets were about twice as wide as the v8's so its not a straight up comparison... ive gone wider every time though... and longer since the pocket rockets too.

now im back to 193's but twice the width and a good deal more ski with the maden's.

when i was like 10 i raced on 170's, then my slalom skis got progressively shorter. 160s, 155s, 150s. then i quit. and my skis got longer and fatter again!

this year i actually went a tiny bit shorter for my park skis. i was riding on skis about 180 in length for the past 3 years, now im on 174 and 176. however, they are a bit fatter than they have been in the past. my bc skis are much, much longer/fatter than i have ever had. its great

i've gone fatter with the last three pair of skis i've owned, and plan to go even fatter for sure on the next pair. and i'll go longer too unless i get elizabeth's or 179 made'ns

Well, last year I bought 180 Explosives, and this year I added to the quiver by buying last years 177 Karma for a smaller ski to boot around on when theres not as much snow.
