Going in front of line

1. tall tees2. covered face3. high voice (be cocky)4. keep up self confidence, pretend that you do this all the time, don't be carefull and vulnerable
follow these steps and no one will have guts to denigrate you
 
Learn how to snake really good. At momentum I would take off my skis and just walk to the front of the line and all the racers would bitch and complain.
 
Snaking is an art..

We've only dealt with one pissed off guy. My buddy usually defends himself and acts innocent for all of us.

All of our little tricks are for gondolas though. So this may not apply to all..

1. Since you're waiting inline for a gondy, take off your skis and lean them on the inside of the maze fence, more towards the end. Somewhere where you can just go from the outside of the fence, to the inside, and your skis won't move anywhere (last corner of the maze).

2.Take advantage of corners. Many people well take the inside of corners when waiting in line, so go wide, you'll have all this room, rarely anyone can get in your way when you snake on a corner.

3.Don't take shit from no one. If they get pissed and tattle or make a scene. Give them shit, they usually don't want to take the heat. Or just peace and try to snake somewhere else in the line.

Seems I only have 3 tips for snaking a gondola line right now..
 
don't snake, cuz if u do and I see you. You will be skiing with broken goggles for the rest of the day. Stop teaching these little kiddies on NS that snaking is good.
 
when i was young Id go in the ski school line at winter park and say that my instructor was waiting for me up top. worked like a charm. fuck 30 min lift lines
 
once when we were all waiting for the lift to open, it looked like just a mob of people, so i went strait to the from. then some guy flipped shit at me and said that there was a line and that they had been waiting there for 40 minutes.i was like "watever man" and went back a little bit, but then still got in the lift before him
also, if you're with a group of people, split up and go tru the singles line. easiest way to cut, plus no angry people
 
simple things like putting the tips of your skis slightly infront of people will sometimes make some people will slowly let you infront of them becuase they dont want to ride over your tips. or you can just wait in line like your suppose to.
 
Except if you do it in Vail, I will denigrate, violate and castrate you. ...And then I will pull your ski pass.

It's not just the gapers that get pissed when you snake them in line.
 
The majority of people are pussies. Even if you blatantly snake a ton of people, MOST of them will be too scared to say anything anyway. if they do confront you, speak another language.
 
Who gives a fuck? It just makes you look like a self-righteous douche-bag. Be like everyone else and wait in line. What makes you so damn special? Although on pow days, it is rather tempting.
 
Run over to lifty, spark up conversation that interests lifty. wait a couple of lifts or until next available spacce in lift comes up,

smoothly slide to front on said lift and say by to lifty.
 
haha man i pulled that so much at momentum this past year. a racer coach tried to push me to the ground for it once and 2 racer kids started bitching at me. then some jersey kid went buck at them and they got scurred.

Yes. At least have the common courtesy to call your drop. I cannot recall how many times I've called my drop then out of fucking no where, little speedman jones jr all decked out in the latest gear snakes me. That shit makes me rage.
 
i'm always the guy standing a few places back watching these things unfold. It's kind of funny seeing how ppl react to it. Most just point and shake their head or mumble something under their breath.

If it's a couple kids snaking I don't really care, but if it's like a group of people cutting everybody, i have no problem saying something.
 
never seen anybody snake at my hill but that's probably because my hill isn't littered with queers.
 
when I see someone jump the line I just think they obviously love skiing/boarding so much that they can make all of the rest of us in line patiently waiting, wait even longer. If someone loves something enough to make that many people suffer so that they can enjoy it, i'm going to let them go ahead and enjoy it.
 
its not really snaking but whenever we were filming or had a camera on weekends or busy ass days we would just go in the ski school line, if anyone questioned us we were just doing a filming project for the ski school, worked everytime
 
YESSSS!!!!! i do this every day and there like ohh pooorr boy get him to his mom and they like crowd surf me to the front its great lol everytime
 
Tip 1:

If your with a group, split up and go in the singles line. When the first guy gets there he goes wide and slow blocking the line so you and your buddies can sneak in under him. The blocker just continues to the far side of the line and you all ride up together.

Tip 2:

Target the front of the line. Go right up to people and tell them a lie on why you need to get up the mountain right now. Good ones include, "I'm an off duty ski patrol and they need extra assistance with somebody up top, is it okay if I get ahead of you?", "I'm with park crew and we have an issue with a kid and need to find his/her parent, can I get in front", or "I'm with the resort and (insert chair lift name) just went down and we have to do a lift evac, sorry but I'm going to need to get ahead".

haha at hood for me it seemed like the opposite. you had to be really aggressive in line other wise you would get snaked by like 20 racers and their douchebag coach
