He's got an amazing segment in the Armada movie, oil and water. Its hard to say its his B footage cause its still Ill as hell but wait till ya see his Armada seg

Werd. Definitely not to say it wasn't a good seg, just had super high hopes cause I thought he was just filming with you guys
 
Giray was definitely one of my favorite skiers before this movie and jaron coped top 3 steeziest skiers in my eyes for his segment.
 
Movie and skiing was so sick and stylish and almost everything about the movie was sick. However, the condescending tone of the the whole "Going for Gold" seems a little childish and makes you guys look like those bullies who never made the cut and now hate on everyone. It's just sad to see such great skiers act childish with regards to whether or not you're a comp skier or a filmer.

Ha no. Please tell me how the tone is condescending? They're just drawing attention to the fact that FIS is trying to take the "free" out of freestyle skiing and also making everything all about the $$, which is bullshit. Such a dope movie!..and for free?! So stoked on this. Thx Lafa

Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie. I just don't like seeing sectors of the free skiing industry attack other sectors. The olympics are a business and so are FIS, they're no different to any other sporting code. However, to answer your question, Ahmet Dadali saying "fuck this" after the news report celebrating a great American achievement sort of just come off a little condescending and underpins throughout the movie. I highly doubt they had any intention in attacking comp skiers at all, however it just came out in my opinion that way. But each to their own.
 
Trying to be funny or clever by not-so-subtly bashing the olympics/comp-scene doesn't do much for your cause, and really just suggests you folks are bitter over something that shouldn't be a relevant issue in skiing any more. People always have and always will ski for different reasons, and with differing degrees of structure.

You guys kill it, props for releasing a free video after a lot of hard work. But I would think you'd be able to get people stoked on your approach to skiing without childishly antagonizing others.

Comp skiing is in nooo way a comparable business model to that of freeskiing. FIS and OC are two incredibly corrupt organizations that put money and sponsors over athletes wellbeing, and for that reason they deserve to be ridiculed. But I don't think ahmet is trying to say that he discounts any achievement a comp skier has made anyways. Im sure ahmet is very impressed and was probably stoked on the sweep, but he is trying to make it clear that he is not that type of skiing. Furthermore, it estabilishes a rebellious vibe that resonates throughout the segment, capturing our attention, as the goal of any movie should be.
