I am looking for a new pair of goggles and was wondering what ones i should get...color, lenses, etc. i was looking at the Oakley wisdoms or the a frames.

No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.
 
black with black perrison on either, but the color really depends on the rest of ur outfit

a frames rock. i love mine cause i can change lenses whenever and personally i dont think it really matters what color you have cause they all look sexy. minus the pink ones i saw on my friend alf last week, cause he doesnt deserve pink.

I have the E-Frames. They're wicked cheapand they never fog. They may not look as stylie as the other oakleys, but still look cool.

 
Just make sure all the colors of your outfit match up! We don't want skiing to look non fashion conscious, now do we? Sure people.

 
goddamn, neways i didnt buy oakleys cause i didnt liek the fact that EVERYONE has them,

dont rule out dragon and spy, they make some sick goggles as well, maybe even in YOUR colour

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?
 
go with the Smith Fuse Regulators with the fire lenses. get the balck frames with fire lenses...they look sweet.

 
I know a guy who had perma-fogged spy's... anybody else had this problem?

the spy blizzards are nice. i love mine and they don't fog up. the only down side is there's not a blue lense for them and cloudy days suck with my mirror one. the amber one works alright but i wore my friend's a frames one day and now i'm set on a blue lense.

oakleys cool and all but theres just no denieng the coolness and comfort of smith triads they fuckin sick ive the lime green ones, i wish they made pink ones

Personally,I wear Smith.

When shopping for goggles, yeah, looks are important...but you really need to take some other things into consideration...

-do the goggles make a complete seal around your face? you don't want wind rushing in which can cause your eyes to tear, thus blurring vision....then again, this gives you a convenient excuse for when you mangle that switch landing you've been telling everyone about....

-do they pinch your nose? everyone has to breathe

-degree of visiblity!!! Ok, the goggles look dope, but do they impair your vision? Think about how much you rely on your ability to see to the extreme left/right when monitoring slow moving tourists

-For the lens, color-wise, I'd suggest a nice amber or rose color...these are good for almost all conditions, from blazing sun, to flat light, to white-out...

Oh yeah, if you rock a helmet, bring it along when you purchase goggles to make sure they'll fit when you sport the dome!

 
Get what you like, Ive used Dragon's (borrowed from my buddy cuz mine were busted) which were wicked, not once did they fog on a cold wet day and they looked pretty sweet too. I have a pair Of Spys that work pretty good, but they fog when I breath heavily. The fog goes away quickly tho, you just gotta hold your breath for a few seconds. But yea, just get whatver kind you like, you can find some really nice ones for a wicked deal.

i just got the wisdoms and i've only used them once, but they were sick, i was sweating and shit while i rode and they didn't fog when i stopped which was way better than my last ones. they also have fat peripheral vision which is nice. well worth the money

yeah wisdoms are the shit you should definitely get them, because they are sick like the a-frames but they are even better because they improved on them

i tried the foils on the other day and they look pretty ugly in person. they are real narrow too, so if you have a moderately wide face, they probably won't fit you.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter whether it looks good, if it doesn't fit your face. If that qualifies as advice then it would be a first for me.

amber lense is best for all conditions. you could pay more and get an amber lense with some shiny shit on it, but honestly, it's not that big of a deal unless you are very image conscious.

i bought the black dragon foils..theyre awesome....great view and i love the way the look..they make me look like batman

i have the spy targas and to the kid who said his friend had permanetly fogged goggles, this is kinda happening to me, the solution is to just get new lenses, works good for me...

Have you fools ever put on Oakley's?? The vision quality is far superior to even the best other brand goggles. I have had them all Bolle, Arnette, Smith, Scott, VonZipper, Spy, and Dragons, nothing is like Oakley in optics quality...

 
i checked out the foils at the shop today. they are ugly, and the quality of build looks kinda shody. after seeing them in person, i would say go with Oakly, Spys, or Smiths. I had a pair of the origional Triads, and i thought they were pretty crappy. They probably fixed quality issues on them though.

Yeah... about the new Dragon FOILS.... they look sick on the website or in magazines.... then in person they look a bit extreme. When you put them on they look retarded. I've had A frames froma while and they're okay... good vision and all but the foam on the liner came off after 4 years. I'm gunna get some o frames with mirrors lenses or fuse regulators..... or maybe the scott usa's that turpin wears... they're sick

if arnette was still a company id tell you to get those.... sick goggles all around but just get gordinis... free goggles are by far the best

im overly content with my oakley o frames... i can dig the colours i got.. silver frames orange lenses.

i think that oakley a-frames are the dopest goggle ever. they saved my roomates life. super impact resistant. we were skiing at jay and he was 20 min late coming out of the trees... he didn't know what happened, came to with one ski on, goggles cracked in half, and a bruise on his scull under his goggles. he was wearing them on his forehead for whatever reason and without them i don't know how bad it would've been.

i also came around a spin leaning forward once and hit my face to the top of my pole, hard, i thought i was going to have a black eye, not even a scratch on my a-frames.

yeah, they are too expensive. that's why you have to find deals, get to know the right people...

the other prob that I have is that I have fucked up the insides by wiping the lens with a non-oakley cloth... my fault kinda

bottom line they look dope.

my bro has wisdoms... i don't think that i like them as much, i don't trust taking that lens out either.....
