Goggles under or over helmet??

Bright green Discrete Doyonator (slightly folded up to eliminate extra material)+Crowbars+Helmet sans earpads.
After experimenting, I found this to be the most comfortable and I have been doing it that way for at least a season and a half. Also allows easy earbud access.

Over.

My goggles have sticky stuff, so they stick to my helmet a little. And my helmet cant accomodate a beanie underneath.

under, way better, doesnt stretch out the goggle strap and over doesnt always fit will, and I keep my earpads in so idk

yea dude he probably couldnt even get off of the bunny hill, obviously cant ski since he dont wear his shit right

I wear under, but when skiing fast ive experienced my helmet lifting from the head... Anyone with me?? Its quite annoying

I go under with earpads and liner attached with my holt most comfortable way ive found and looks good to me

It depends on which helmet and which is more comfortable. I have a smith maze and it is much more comfortable with a beanie under it.
I also think it looks better.

I go for under, its more comfortable, the only real issue is that you cant take your goggles off for cleaning or cooling down very easily

I gotta do under. I have eg2s and smith holt and I tried them over when I first got my helmet and it just pulled it back and gave me like a 12 inch gaper gap. Under it fits perfectly and I can just take it off and put it in whenever and nit have to re adjust the strap

I don't see what the problem is when the goggles fit perfectly over the helmet, IE no forehead showing whatsoever.
I have a big enough head as it is, wearing a beanie under the helmet makes me look like a bobble-head.

Getting a new helmet and i would prefer to wear them over just because everything is more stable. Right now i have to wear them under with a beanie cause my helmet is just too large to put the gogs over without pulling my face off. When i wear a beanie my hair always gets fucked and it's hard to look good for the ladies after a day of riding with a toque on.

Call me a gaper as much as you want, IDGAF. Fact of the matter is that I look 100 times shittier with my goggles under the helmet.

I see you wear Sabotage :)Just bought their pants and jacket last week from boardshop.no after trying them at sport1. Haven't had time to try them yet, is it any good ?

Just bought the jacket about a month ago. I'm not Norwegian and I hadn't heard of the brand before I got here.
Haven't gone riding in it yet, but the quality and attention to detail seems awesome to me!

My dome is huge. I have the largest sized helmet I could find. I still can only wear a very thin underarmour beanie. There is no way I could ever rock goggles under my helmet. Simply wont fit.

Under. When I want to take my goggles off my eyes I just push the front of my helmet up and then push up the goggles.

To everyone saying you can't fit a goggle strap under your helmet: sag your goggles.

Then you're comfy and you're steezin. Killed two birds with one stone.

This is what I do btw.

I wear under, it simply holds my beanie tight and straight + the strap isn't stretched too much. Don't really care about being steezy or not, just being practical.

This year I got a new helmet and googles. And for the first time I think I'll go with goggles under the helmet.

I got a Poc ReceptorBug and Poc Lobes, and it looks weird with the goggles on the outside, the strap gets too thin and it bends at the front turning towards my face. It is odd.

But underneath I must admit is pretty uncomfortable, and I know I'm going to be pissed that I can't take off my goggles.

In addition, the goggles keep sagging down leaving a gap.

Any good tips for me?

I can t let this pass...

"1." is a pretty bad reason, they generally stay on your helmet either way. Considering that "1." for each case is a pretty poor reason, that leaves us with "2." for why YOU think under is the right answer.

The reason you said "2" is because of your opinion not on the functionality of over or under, rather what everyone else is doing. Your a conformist that's simply following the crowd if that is all you got.

Im not saying that one versus the other is the RIGHT answer, but go with what you feel works best. Don't be a conformist trend hoe. Im tired of seeing this shit

I've got one of the giro helmets with the peak, and it is so uncomfortable wearing them under. I think if I just had a standard helmet with no ear-pads I'd probably wear under purely for aesthetic purposes.

under,

1. looks cooler

2. doesnt make you feel like your are being forced back

3. comfy

4. can show off your stickers better

5. easier if you want to where no helmet and dont have to deal with the pain in the ass of tightening you goggles

Pros VS Cons in my case:
Over:
Doesn't look as good (apparently)ComfyLets me take off my goggles whenever I want.Tight seal between top of goggles and helmet
Under:
Gives me "steeze" (apparently)Crushes my skull to the extent that I get headachesWay to warm due to beanieCan't remove gogglesExposes a solid inch of foreheadMakes me look like humpty fucking dumpty

So wait... You mean to tell me that the hard plastic clips on your goggle strap fit better when wedged between a hard helmet and your scalp than on the outside of the helmet where there's actual buckles to keep it there?

Let me recap this thread this way :

Blue color

Pros : it's blue

Cons : it's blue

Red color

Pros : it's red

Cons : it's red

I mean....why debatting over a preference ?

helmets are designed for the goggles to be worn over the helmet and they work the best when there is nothing in between the helmet and your head
