Goggles under or over helmet??

Under. Its nice to be able to take off your helmet and not need to take the goggles off and readjust them - especially when hiking rails or something. But if you wear them over thats cool too, to be honest to whatever you feel like.

i remember four or five years ago i saw tanner hall wearing goggles under the helmet at the xgames, at that point i was like twelve and i thought tanner was he coolest skier there was. I wound up trying it and found it to be way better looking and way comfier and i havent gone back to over since. i feel like its another "style" factor that seperates the recreational(possibly "gaper skiers) from kids who are into the whole freeride scene. to be honest it really is up to the skier.

I remember thinking goggles under the helmet was yet another park rat fashion statement along with 6xl hoodies and wallisch full tilts

Switched to under the helmet 2 seasons ago and havent looked back, shit is so comfortable.

One other thing with wearing goggles over the helmet is when you don't use the goggles you usually put them on top of your helmet, what happens if you fall on your face? You bust your goggles! Has happened like 2 times for me. Perhaps not the strongest argument but...

I have to wear under with smith I/OS's. But I don't have a nice beanie so I rock it with pads. I think it looks better and is more comfy.

i always wear them under its more comfortable, and with my particular helmet goggle set up it looks the best

last year I had crowbars and a RED mutiny 2, they were perfect over, comfy and looked good, this year I have a POC receptor and crowbars and it's much better under

the reason kids wear goggles under is because jibbers in quebec had to wear helmets in the park and they didnt wear them jibbing so the would just throw on they're helmet over there goggles but now its just a fad

I do both, I find that over stays put better, but under looks better, and is usually pretty comfy. I just hate when the strap slides low on the back of my head, it makes it feel like my goggles are always just hanging on.

I do this sometimes. I took out the liner cause I generally do the under thing with 3 or so pairs of my goggles. But I have a pair that are superb lenses for flat light, but they have a clip so they are horribly uncomfortable under. So I end up wearing a beanie with goggles over the helmet.
I also do this when I'm on photoshoots. I need to be able to take off my goggles easily cause I hate taking photos with my goggles on but I pretty much refuse to ski with out helmet.
If it is a day over 50 I usually just use a bandana and helmet

Yeah same. Ive worn them under for like 4 years now and never looked back. I dont like how the band fits over helmets too

What ive done is cut the back half of my helmet padding out and removed the ear pads so the bulge from my beanie evens out with the padding in the front and wear my goggles under my helmet, which is comfortable to me. when you want to "take your goggles off" just tilt your helmet up and slide your goggles onto your forehead.

I'm a chick wearing guys goggles, and I'm small anyways, so they won't fit as well if I wear them under my helmet....wearing them over keeps them in place. And seriously, how can this all determine if you're a gaper or not??? (I've noticed more that ppl who ski downhill wear them outside more often than jibbers et al)

i where it over who cares about the looks unless your filming or doing shots or something whatevers more comfortable for sure

This guy is such a gaper

i wear mine under but with the ear pads on (poc helmet). I find my head gets too hot and itchy with a hat and helmet, so i wear my neck warmer a little higher on the back of my head to put the goggle strap on.

I always wear mine under. I wear a beanie under my helmet and it's way comfortable, I like it wayyy better than when I had earpads and wore them over my helmet. Never going back.

^^ this. But, i always thought that you wear them over in powder is because if you're stomping huge shit off of cliffs, you don't want your gog's to fly down. Where as in the park if you stomp shit off a huge jump, you can just ride away w/o pow raping yer face.

I taped the velcro on my helmet, but found it slides around to much. So I removed the tape, and now the velcro does fray my beanie and goggles, but now it stays centered much better and doesnt shake and fall off the big jumps.
