Goggle straps (smith I/O7)

Hi, has anybody removed/changed straps on a Smith I/O7 goggle? I was surprised they don’t seem removable. There’s a little nubbin that connects the strap to frame but I only wanted to force it if others had done it before.

Feedback? Experience?

If not...are there any goggle-strap dye experts?

The background is I have a really terrible bright white strap on some gogs I got a good deal on and I need to resolve it somehow.
 
Dyeing them without taking the strap off will be a bit hard, but doable.

Or, you could dye the entire goggle (frame and strap). Use RIT clothes dye.

Me and plenty of other people on here used to dye Oakley Crowbars and their parts all the time back in the day.
