Goggle strap idea

Recently I contacted someone from Oakley about possiably creating a new type of goggle strap. My idea came from hats and how almost all hats now are basically custom fitted. Why not make custom fit goggle straps?

I contacted Oakley because the crowbar is the only goggle that I know of that can easily switch out straps.

I mentioned that custom straps could be profitable for Oakley as well as excelent goggle upgrades for customers. one of the main benefits for consumers would be more comfort especially when worn under a helmet.

What does everyone else think about this idea?

Do you think Oakley will run with it?

Do you think Oakley will hook me up for the idea if they use it?

Not shure I follow. Are you saying there should be sizing on straps? Why not just have an elastic, one size fits all, strap?

I get what you're saying instead of the adjustable straps have sizing like on flex fit hats. Makes sense to me!

yea, the straps would still be elastic but there would be different sizes for different heads, headware, and prefrence.

dude why not make your own company?

you don't need oakley - just like you get other companies who make Ipod accessories, you could make crowbar accessories! you could do shit like zig zag goggle straps and other shapes, and custom ones like have "insertname Pro Model" etc. You could work with a sponsor i.e. red bull and have red bull straps. Fuck, I might do this myself! Although one size fits all idea is fairly whack, needs to be adjustable for when you use off a helmet.

i wear a helmet skiing and sometimes a hat so its good to have an adjustable strap...i would be pissed if they go with this idea

so you have to buy 2 straps for hats and helmets?
straps now are basically custom they just have the plastic pieces and i don't want 2 straps, one for helmet and one for hat
also, what happens when you get a new helmet? do you have to get a new strap fitted for that?

Same problem. It makes the silicon on the strap fucking useless, when you can barely get it on your head.
