Goggle lens

I bought a pair of cbars off of ebay and it looks like the anti fog coating is all smeared and i cant see out of the goggles. How do i remove the coating? I've tried lens cleaner, vinegar, and water and nothing seems to work, it just returns to the "fogged" state after it dries

the lens is more then likely ruined. The previous owner rubbed the interior of the lens which if rubbed hard enough essentially ruins it. GL and get a new lens

Yeah.. not going to help ya.

There are two lenses for a reason. The outside lens stays cool while the inside lens stays warm. This helps prevent fogging.

Now that you only have one lens, you have no air insulating layer so your face will be heating the inside and the cold will be cooling the outside. You basically set yourself up for some massive fogging.

Also, it sounds like you glued the lens in which probably just ruined your changes of being able to buy a new lens.. and being able to return them as defective.

A new persimmon lens would have cost you about $30. You may have just wasted way more than that though.

The frame is still fine, I didnt glue the lens into it haha. But anyways should I just trash the lens it came with and use an older one I have which is scratched to hell but the lens is still in working condition? Because if I use the lens I took the second lens out it will just instantly fog up once I step outside into cold weather?
