i just want to vent my hate for racers, their even gayer than the kids who suck but at least mind their business on the mountain skiing down groomers, racers insist on coming into the park with their tight pants and bombing through the park, downing little grabs off the lips of jumps and rails, i'm triing out for my school race team just to ski park before/after but i'm like embarssed to be asscosiated with those kids
 
theres a difference between the racers that go bombing through the park and legitimate racers...i go to a ski academy and i XC ski race...but the downhill racers are not at all the kind of kids that do that, they stick to their courses and train laps on it....the kind of kids that go bombing through the park are the shitty ones who don't really give a shit...and are normally younger
 
dude. the racers at my hill go into the park and actually hit the jumps. and it pisses me off. they wreck them.

i was in the lift line and a racer behind me asked me if i got cold cause my pants were so low. the weird thing was he was in one of those skin tight suit things, the liftie laughed and called the racer a fairy and told him to go have a teaparty. it was pretty funny
 
its funny how you get mad at racers.. yet you prolly ski all over the mountain poppin switch on their trails.. it works both ways.. and i bet a racer can outski you on any terrain outside the park.. dont get me wrong i hate when they come in the park to and train through it without waiting their turn... but they are just people like you and me kid.
 
as somebody said before there are different types of racers. the ones who give a shit and train there ass off, and those who are dicks. and yes iv met my fair share of them. but i can exist as both a competitive racer, and a freestyle goon as well. so its all about perspective
 
that was deep.... but yea i agree, if ur like nasty at racing and train and get coached and have a chance to go to colledge for racing or something than thats dope, but i mean like the everyday racer who just does it for....idk what reason
 
I was once a racer... and we felt cool to go through the park, and yes, we were assholes but only because the people who coach you make you feel like your the best in the world. The skin suits...... were the coldest mother fuckers out there, i will never touch one again!
 
racers rock, go suck my dick....stop complaining there probably better skiers then you will ever be... a lot of my good friends are racers so stop bitching.

Sure, you can probably do some sick rails, but big deal! You cant ski 10 feet without sitting in the back seat like a wanker!

oh ya we can ski with out sitting back for fuck sakes i teach asshole a racer can go down an ice covered slope at high speeds big whoop put em in the park and they won't even go we can get down those shit hills fast to maybe not as fast but we don't wear tight clothes so we still have our dignity
 
now you know how a skater feels when they see a biker come to the skatepark and start taking chunks outta the ledges.

Racers look like Q-tips. Big motherfucken helmet-head and some skinny pencil body since theyre wearing siht that like exposes them basically, funny shit.
 
umm well then ... first things first come down and lets talk bout this , you see the proablem here is that you are around the "racers" here to much and you need to be free on fly away from this little "racer" click you are in . haha what am i saying your a losser , like every other racer out there .
 
Whats with all this hate towards racers... What you all are doing is coming up with stereotypes based on the select few racers who are douche-bags and applying it to everyone. Most of the racer think the same thing about park skiers because of the those of them who are douche-bags. At my home hill everyone got along, realized there were a few tools around but everyone else was cool with each other. And racing will make you a incredibly better skier, I would not be half as good in the park or anywhere else on the mountain if I hadn't raced. And can we please stop making these threads, there's a new one every day or so and no one ever says anything new and its just getting stupid.
 
^I try to see it your way, but at my mountain they are idiots and thier instructors are ass holes. The teachers that teach ski teams on my mountain or anyone with a "Ski Team" jacket on is going to be a dick. Like one time me and my friends go down a small trail to hit a step up, at the end of it theres an ass load of poles so we just shoot through them and we get to the end and some ski team guy gos GET OFF THE COURSE. First off, its unavoidable, it took up the whole trail. Second fuck you, you dont own this trail, I'll go on it when I feel like it. And three down yell at me for doing nothing, I didn't fuck anything up, the course was horrible becuase it was pure ice from the rain the other day anyway. That is basically all the racers at my mountain

first off, why is it wrong for him to tell you to get off the course? they set the course up for kids who pay to be on the race team. seems perfectly fair to me that only then can use that course/trail. second, they pretty much do own that trail because they have to rent it out from the mountain, costing them money. third, regardless of if you think your messing the course up or not, you probably are (i wouldnt expect you to know this). i used to race and if there are crossruts (which you may make if you whip it through the course) it is so hard to ski the course.

i think alot of you dont realize that there are many pro skiers (yes, newschool skiers) who started out racing, yet you still bash on racers. Racers are the best technical skiers on the mountain (with a few exceptions).

now i know that there are a few who are dicks and stuff but there are also kids who dont ski park or race, and still manage to fuck up the jumps at the park. I used to race and i went into the park (mostly on my twin tips after practice) and a few of my racer friends came in with me too alot of the time. i will just tell you this, alot of them can pull 3's and 7's on their race skis so i dont know why your bitching about them.
 
Good point, but first he yelled it angrily at us. Second I couldn't avoid it. There was nothing at the top of the trail indicating that there was anything set up there. I didnt fuck it up becuase I stayed away and off the the side going straight down. The thing that was annoying is that the guy yells at me like I just shot someone. It was an accident, the first time I went down it and the guy flips out at me. It's not like I was being an ass hole or something, we did nothing wrong and the guy flipped a shit on us
 
i like it when theres a race going on and you and your freinds are all going waayyyyy faster than the racer in the course next to you
 
yeah they do that at my mtn do and its alst impossible to get to the park on race days. i just ride right through the course when its semi-clear and if someone yells at me i just bob my head like i cant hear them cause of my music and keep going.
 
FUUCKKKKK. I just wrote a huge reply to this, it was quite intelligent, but something fucked it up (i think it was i recieved a message while typin it). but shit, now noe of you will ever be able to read my words of wisdom, i pity you.

btw i had typed about how i'd done the same thing as you but became sick of commments like "lets tuck the park!"
 
ahah sry guys that way my racer frined who got on my comp when he was at my house... sry about hte cock and the bitternees... im sorta nutral on the subject, i have racer friends and park freinds, i dont race my self.

yea at my local mtn racers get so much more pull with management then the parks and pipe.

last year we shared a slope with the racers, this year we get our own. but it sucks.

then when we moved slopes they give the racers(on our old park slope) new good guns for blowing snow... boolshit to me
 
the kids with the race schools at my local mountain are dicks there so annoying, they think there all that but there not they ski around in there spandex and bomb thru our park cutting like half the guys off and going of the side of rail run ups, and there sooo phukin cocky ahh it anoys the hell out of me. But dont get me wrong i respect the guys work there asses of training and give a shit and care about wat there doing.
 
well i guess the guy was just an asshole then haha. you should have told him that he should "mark off the fucking trail" he he's gonna flip a shit.

dude, you gotta respect all aspects of skiing, no matter how crazy, or mellow they are. if you want to hate, hate the haters out there that bitch about everyone that sux at being what you think a skier should be. personally, i dont race alpine, but i do race xc. i find that the skiers that ski more aspects of the sport are better, and generally more accepting of people that suck, because they know that everyone starts somewhere. if you want to be a better skier, try more of the things that skiing has to offer like: newschool skiing, urban, alpine racing, xc racing, xc park(yes it exists), telemark, backcountry, ski alpinism, jumping, nordic combined, moguls, aerials, biathlon(ski with guns), skijoring(xc with dogs), base jump skiing, ski hang gliding, kite skiing, hut to hut skiing, and touring. really, be more open minded, you cant call yourself a real skier until you can ski it all.
 
i agree, also allot of pros started out racing and they still use all of the technique they learned to carve and other stuff.
 
dude your a idiot. Back in my racing days we would bash gates in the morning and then hit the park all afternoon. If your close minded about one aspect of our sport then your as big of a asshole as the racers that talk shit about free stylers.

well actually feel free to hate on snowbladers all you want, as far as im concerned their not a member of our sport. Their in a sport of their own allong with mono boarders
 
I race on my high school team just for fun, yet all the time im not required to be doing gates im in the park, does that mean you don't like me? :(
 
first off most of the great park skiers theses days started off as racers. and second off i will admit to the fact that i am a racer but i still find plenty of time to do freeskiing. but i think one of the best benefits of racing is how much it has helped my overall skiing so that if i want to ski some harder terrain i will beable to do so. and yes i know racers can be super annoying and i just want to say that i am not one of those racers.
 
gore mtn = worst place in the world for racers. the NYSEF coaches bring their kids through the park.. even the kids who are like 7. one kid just kinda mumbles when will they be outta here because 15-20 kids were there and just cut infront of like 10 kids waiting. then the coach was like are you talking to me? we have just as many rights to be in here as you.

some of the older kids are real legit though. even though the biggest jump is like 30 feet, kids are throwin 7's and 9's and shit. last yea some kid threw a d-spin 7 which surprised the shit outta me. actually id say about 40% of the kids on the race team at gore that are are like 15-18 are legit park skiers.
 
i really do hate racers. they take up so much space on our mountain and think they are the best in the world, but all they can do is go fast around gates. They can't ski bumps, pow, trees, or park. They don't know what they are doing. And they are assholes
 
i race for my HS team but as soon as my run is over i switch skis and go right into the park...i joined the team to travel, get out of school, learn to ski better, and to have fun. and it really is. most of the kids on the team also park ski and we all just go change skis and hit up the jumps. i hate the racers who spend their life training 24/7 every single god damn day. and then they come through the park and yell at you to move because they think they own the hill..even tho i race some of the "hardcore" fuckers piss me off..
 
^^^yeah i do the race team at my HS i get to ski everyday after school to "train" but i just hit the park with my buds. come race day..i miss a whole day of school pretty much to do whatever i want on the slopes
 
EXACTLY.

at practise we just screw around and our coach is sweet. he buys us pizza and shit on the way back from races. and on race day i miss a whole day of school to race for 2 minutes and freeski the rest of the day. it really is fricken sweet. i had one yesterday and i have one tomorrow.
