Does any one else think his new style is so coping off of BigL!?!

BigL is so bad ass so I understand why he would do it but...Jay-z should have the ability to create his own style!

Mobb Deep or somebody should call him on this!

Anybody else have any thoghts?

who cares if hes biting big L's style, Big L was the best rapper ever...he might as well live on, even if it is thru another rapper

Well, I would have to disagree with you on this one. Big L has more of a story telling style, along with more of a street talk. Personally I think Big L lived a much more crazier life then Jay Z did, and speaks more from the streets. Big L used to ghost write alot of his shit, ( write rhymes, and sell them for money) I think Jay Z Incorporates the street life, along with the whole bling scene, because he knows how to sell records along with giving the younger crew what they want to hear so they will buy his records. Both are 2 incredible MC's, and are 2 of the best ever... just my 2 cents

ya i agree with lineboarder. jay z knows what is going to sell. but in big L's words 'how come you can listen to my first album and tell where alot of niggers got their whole style from.' and besides, jay and big L used to rap with each other. listen to da graveyard, from big L's album lifestylez ov da poor and dangerous.

word... ^^ knows whats up..... Da graveyard is some hip hop classic ish..... Big L just has that raw, new, 'Flamboyount' voice, right from the streets kiddies

well i have been mistaken i thought we were discussing HOW he rapped, not WHAT he raps about...so...my bad.....i think big L is better

jay's shit has always been tight... vol. 2 was the real begining to what he is now, dope man is a phat song about his music and its influence

.:l[Tyler]l:.

Jay-z Excuse me miss

'now she dont like him, She never met him

Groupies try to take advantig of him

He wotn let them, he dont need them

so he treats them like he treats them

better them then me, she dont a agree with him

shes mad at that, shes not having that

So those opposits attract like maganets'

How can u say that is goood??? what the hell man i can fucking write sumthing as good as that, jay cant come close to Big L... All he can do is get ppl to make him sum dope beats through on sum r&b signer and make a hit, or else he can Get i sum one to make him more of a gangstar beet and make silly rhymes about how ritch he is.. he sucks

Like all his ryhmes use the same word..

Guys...How can you listen to Jay-Z!?! I gave a couple months ago and tried listening to some Jay-z stufff. His album had about 23 song....and i heard like prolly 5 good ones!

Big L and Mobb Deep! Guys Big L is one of the greatest...I just don't like seeing/listening to Jay-z use a similar style.

It's all about NAS!

lol... Do you think Excuse me miss is what Jay Z really wants to rhyme about? Like what is honestly on his mind and what he is feeling. nooooooo, he does that shit for the money man come on, lets face it, we live in a bling, materialistic, male dominant, and most importantly youthfull society where 50 percent of record sales are from young stupid kids. He has to rhyme about stuff like this if he wants to sell albums and wants to make the dollars. Yes, its fucken corny as hell, and songs like this are gay as shit. I wouldnt be surprised if ferrel or clipse gave Jay Z those lyrics to use, they are some smart mother fuckers who make about half of the hip hop beats you have heard from the past 10 years..... Think About it, and then listen to some raw real jay z shit, shit from his heart, and tell me that isnt dope

'I'm far from broke, got enough bread and mad hoes, ask Beavis I get nuttin Butt-head' - Big L

and another thing on my mind...... Big L died like 5 years back or so, which is a while ago, he didn't evolve to his prime, and back then the style of rap was alot different then it is now.... His stuff was really raw, and really lyrical. And this was before MTV caught him, think about if MTV was playing his shit on TRL, and he knew this, how much his style would change so he could make the big bills. Lets face it, hes from the gutter of harlem, and hes goin to do anything it takes to make the big bills... like 50 says ' If they hate, then let them hate, and watch the money pile up'

'I'm far from broke, got enough bread and mad hoes, ask Beavis I get nuttin Butt-head' - Big L

* Empire Freeride, Session 3*

lets put it this way....if big L was alive today, no one could touch him. not jay-z, not 50, not eminem, not even anybody....if he was alive he'd rule everything...bottom line

and a funny side story about big L...i was in class with one of my friedns (keep in mind hes a huge big l fan) and he goes, 'that sucks that big L died' i was like yeah, killed in an alleyway or something like that? and my friend goes, 'na son, he was driving the car bigggie got shot in, they both died.' at first i thought he was joking but he wasnt...i was like dude biggie died like 2 years before he did, L even said stuff about him being dead, but he didnt listen to me and sdtuck with his story haha

teem bousquet

haha.... ya man Big L would have alot of shit on lock right now, but he would have to change his style up a little bit..... 50 fucken has the shit on lock right now, hes blowing up everything, to a point where I want to puke on the radio stations.... its getting ridiculous... they basically played his entire album... fucken ruined him, he was so much doper 1-2 years ago when I get his underground shit through mix cd's

'I'm far from broke, got enough bread and mad hoes, ask Beavis I get nuttin Butt-head' - Big L

* Empire Freeride, Session 3*

Jay-z has to have like a cameo on his tracks, or they suck dick, what does that say about him? and the cameos preformence alwase over shines his.. soo jay-z ummm ya

line boarder knows whats up....50 can still put home hot shit on mix tapes, hes still 50 at heart, but dre and em are making him a hot ticket and its working that just goes to show how other rappers loving you can help explode your career, i mean 50 cent had 2 'best of' albums before he was even discovered by eminem...so im not sure where im going with this, but Big L is dope. and neil, there are some hot jay-z songs out there, just not on the radio.

teem bousquet

ya I was listening to Life After Death the other day and Jay-Z has a song on there I think its I Love the Dough which is really good..

i hate Jay-Z, he thinks he is hot shit, and disses NAS all of the time, but NAS is way better than jz.

Yeah jay Z is going real commercial. I think its because he is seeing the money fucken spring out of his pockets and he keeps makin corny songs that make them fatter. And with the whole deal with Nas, that was all bullshit, just publicity and ways of getting out albums and making some more money. Everyone check out www.hiphopsite.com and take a look at like the hip hop history on all of beef between mc's, its pretty interesting

Jay-Z is one of the hottest regardless of which way his music turns.'Excuse me Miss' is a hot song but your not going to find jay'z hottest lyrics on the song, I'ts bacially a club/party track and the beat is hot!!! LOL go get reasonable doubt for some classic verses.FYI jay was going to sign Big-L to the roc just before he passed because he knew L was the truth.
