GOD DAMN GAY CODEC THINGS! HELP!

So I downloaded Anchorman and it's in .avi form. When it opens in Windows Media Player, It says "Error Downloading (or Loading, i forget which one) Codec. What do I need to I need to download for it to work?

i dont know. maybe try opening it in something other than WMP? try real player?

try opeing it up in quicktime, or the movie may just have have an error in it.

depends...rips movies use dozens of different codec depending on the audio/video compression. first thing to try is got to www.divx.com and download their player. i have run into some rips that no matter what you have installed you'll always get an error or it wont play right (no/only audio) etc

Dont ever download codec-packs, that's equal death to your computer.

You need, divx, xvid and AC3 sound codec, if you cant play a movie when you have those it's not worth to be played.

Or if you're lazy, use VLC Player.

Best advice ever - Xvid, divx and AC3( for audio) - never download a codec pack.

Sometimes if they don't play in WMP, try playing the file in a DVD program like WinDVD (i've come across DRM issues with WMP) and if it still doesn't load - it's probably a fake and you wasted your time downloading it.

 
If it comes unzipped get WinWar archiver to unzipe, and to play the vids you either need to download VLC player, xvid, divx. Windows media player usally dosn't work on those vids

you broke the rules, now im gonna pull out all your pubic hairs.
