It was just announced yesterday, that Burton has acquitted DNA Distribution.

"Snowboard behemoth Burton has expanded its reach

into the skate market, yesterday acquiring DNA Distribution for an

undisclosed sum. DNA includes the brands Alien Workshop, Reflex and

Habitat, which offer both hard- and softgoods for the skateboarding

market.

In recent seasons, the Burlington, Vt.-based Burton

has been expanding beyond its snowboarding roots. In June 2006, the

company acquired Santa Barbara-based Channel Islands Surfboards,

landing it in the surf market. In a statement, Burton CEO said, “This

acquisition completes a strategy that we have been very focused on for

quite some time and marks a new milestone in the evolution of Burton

and its family of brands.”"

Is this Decente North America or something else. If it's Decente then that fucking sucks. Decenta North America was so fucking legit. I guess it still will be but I hate Burton.

i guess the sovereign sect. is no longer sovereign.

damn.

Alien and habitat will still be some of the best boards money can buy, behind deluxe of course.

well there goes habbitat skateboards. they were legit. well they still are and will be until i see some major changes team wise and quality wise. i just dont like burton owning everything and being able to make decisions for a few sick companies that were fine on thier own

like who? forum was on its way out when burton bought them. Fourstar would've sold that division to someone cuz it obviously wasn't working out for them. its better that burton bought them, rather than some holding company, like k2 and solomon. dna and channel islands make skateboards and surfboards, hence they could always use more capital. and all the other brands are burton spin-offs.

why do you guys hate on burtopn? they make the best shit out there for the money.... and i hear jake throws a mean christmas party.

i was refering more to DNA distributuion like habitat and workshop, i was never talking about froum and 4 square. habitat is a sick skate company i just dont want to see its ways changing just because burton bought them out thats all i was saying
