God Bless the USA

thankyou.

like i said, i know i have made my fair share of enemy's, but i had hoped we could put aside our differences......

my grandma watched the second plane hit..... she said it was the scariest moment of her life..... i can assume it would have been really scary if i wasnt in 4th grade

Oh, the attacks are rising, but theres a more significant risk now of the country's tribes going apeshit on each other.

i also agree 100%

this is not a political debate

this is not a war debate

this is not "blame bush" time

7 years ago the world changed and your life as you know it changed forever. this country came united and over 2,000 of our fellow country men and women died. it is extremely ignorant to come onto this thread and talk about anything disrespectful to what happened that day or the aftermath.

i dissagree with people on this site, as do many of us. there comes a time when we put our differences aside, like so many did that day, and unite as a country. u know what? i would save every one of you fellow NSers if i were in that position that day because you are my fellow country men and women.

BTW, i was a freshman in Highschool when this happened. i still remember it clearly. the only class we did any homework in was dam math class. the WHOLE day comprised of patriotic songs playing on over the intercom. it really hit me when, not only did the 2 towers fall, but to my surprise 2 more planes hit the ground as well.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

ok lets break down what i said...

remember 9/11/01

that was before the video^

remember our troops, past and present. because if america had not fought for freedom in different times during history, THE WORLD WOULD NOT BE THE SAME...

so here's to you america, and all the good you have done in the world. CHEERS!

how is that divisive?

the cheers america?

what is so bad about saying cheers america?

if you took it as divisive, i am truly sorry. i meant this thread to be one where we could share our experiences and thoughts about the day that so impacted both america, and the world...

ehhh. no hard feelings... i just was kinda upset when i was told i was "politicizing it" because i did my best not to bring politics into this...

and yeah, i called that guy out too, so we both agree there is NO need for "fuck the towel heads" comments.

Dude, you can never control insurgents. As long as we're occupying that country, our soldiers are going to steadily be killed.

You're right, but in those alternative universes, there would be some where the world is 'better off' and some that are not. And it all depends on who you are making the 'better off' observation.

Have you heard of world war II /hitler? humm what about Communism? Without America in the last 100 years the world be so different. It would be such a shit hole...

How sad that a thread that was supposed to be in remembrance of all the innocent people that died that day, has turned into a political hate fest.

if you want to get technical whatever, sure its unprovable speculation. BUt in my opion stopping Hitler/axis seemed to be a good thing, I dont know about you? All in all the world isnt that bad of a place(depending on where you live) and i like to think america/western world had something to do with that.

I was in 7th grade when that happened and I remember it pretty vividly. My dad was an air ambulance pilot and it turned out that medical flights were the only flights that werent grounded in the US. He was on an on call night shift so after school he took me with him to the airport because I was young and a little afraid and didnt want to be home alone. My town has an Air Guard base at the airport and an air force missile base on the other end of town so I guess we must have been on pretty high alert because at the air port there were soldiers riding 4 wheelers around the perimeter of the airport and different buildings with rifles on their shoulders. It was after seeing that that I realized just how fucked up that day really was.

Its a great place to live if you're living in a first world country. My point is that its useless speculation, and there are infinite ways history COULD have played out. You can only look at the past and say "Yes, X had a great effect" not "If X didnt do this, the world would look like Y".

Thank you Rowen for making me not to type all of this stuff by myself.

Also Usa isnt the western world or not even America.
