Saw it on opening night last nigh and it was better than anything I could have imagined. Mind you it was brutal as fuck as all Tarantino films are, but it really captured the life of the times with the brutality, it wasn't just for the sake of blood. Christopher Waltz proved he can be the good guy too absolutely perfecting his role. Leonardo played a scumbag, but played it like a suave motherfucker as you'd expect. And Jamie Foxx, don't even get me started on how fucking badass he is. On top of all the prime acting, pretty cinematography and tense moments we've come to expect from Tarantino it was also rather comical which was a nice touch. Also the soundtrack was the most absurd yet perfect thing you could ever imagine. so please everyone go see Django Unchained as soon as you can.

I really want to see this movie, saw the trailers for the first time and was pretty sure it would be awesome.

To avoid any spoilers I didn't read the whole thing, but I'm glad to hear this. Quentin Tarantino movies are my favorites

They're all of a similar make, Outrageous with "holy shit" moments (ex. buttrape of a gangster/ nazis being burned alive), with a focus on baddassery and epic stories. And they all ft. The man the legend aka Samuel L

The only thing bad I have to say about the movie is that it was around 3 hours long. Or at least it felt that way. HOWEVER, a worthy 3 hours. Go see the movie, you won't regret it.

This movie was fucking insane. One of tarantino's best for sure. A bit long, but fucking amazing. The acting was great, Jamie Foxx was great the movie was great.

I have been a huge fan of all his movies so far, and I cannot wait to go see this. Is Tarantino capable of making a bad movie?

Deathproof was god awful imo but it was supposed to be due to the grindhouse genre.

And i cannot wait to see this movie, looks so fucking awesome.

saw this last night, between the blood, shooting, story line, and characters.......movie was fucking unreal

I absolutely fucking adored this movie. the only thing that I didn't like was how Tarintino had an australian accent.

The KKK scene almost made me shit my pants laughing.

in the context of a serious movie this scene was probably one of the funniest things i've ever seen, Django was absolutely incredible all around

I don't know. I loved that movie. I guess I can see how someone would dislike it, but it still had that Tarantino awesomeness that is present in all his movies.

I think Samuel L Jackson should win an award for this movie. He made the whole thing. One of my all time favorite movies.

Just saw it, incredible movie! Anyone else notice the numerous shots of jackson hole in the background of a couple scenes??

It was sick. But it was way to long. I don't know. I had just been skiing and my legs hurt so bad by the time Leanardo's character found out they were lying that i couldn't keep them still.

The movie was fucking awesome, the whole theater was laughing their ass's off during the kkk scene. And Samuel L jackson was hilarious as hell "niggalees." But in the part when the slave was getting eaten by the slaves I chuckled for god knows what reason and there was 3 black dudes behind me... I slid down in my seat haha.

It was a fucking dope movie! I laughed pretty hard when rick ross started playing cus i wasnt expecting that at all lol but it was really good.

sweet jesus I'm seeing it tomorrow and watching that trailer again just made me so fucking excited.

just came back from watching it, that was incredible

I like that Tarantino used Samuel L Jackson again for this movie, except instead of a bad motherfucker like in Pulp Fiction he's just a crotchety old house slave... He passed on the badass torch to Jamie Foxx.

very interesting style, sick action scenes (some errors such as the way Candie's wife flew sideways after being shot near the end of the movie), but honestly the plot BLEW

that being said, gorey fucking movie. i've never closed my eyes watching a movie and i'm a big fan of gore but i couldn't handle the hammer scene.

Just saw it last night and it fucking blew my mind. SO GODDAMNED AWESOME!!!!! Definitely the best Tarentino film since Pulp Fiction.

I don't think it was grossly gory. Just saw the film and loved it. Definitely worth watching. It's long but that's fine because its very enjoyable.

The soundtrack was amazing, like crazy good, BUT the rap music in a few parts just about ruins the entire movie for me, turns it from a legit western to a "hip/in" hollywoody movie. Other than that , if i pretend it didnt happen. its one of the best westerns ive seen, this is coming from a huge western fan. Couple small things keep it out of my top 3-5 though.

Jerimiah johnson, the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford, butch cassidy and the sundance kid, once upon a time in the west, the good the bad and the ugly, legends of the fall, for a few dollars more

Add pale rider and the ballad of cable hogue to that list, i know its more than 5, id have to put more thought into it to pick out 5
