Go Pro/ T2i Setup

Okay so I currently have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, and I have been finding it really hard to do follow cams with. I was wondering if any of you have advise on a good setup for it. Also I was thinking I could just buy a GoPro and mount it on an old pole for follow cams, I am a little tight on money, I have like $400 which would be enough for a GoPro.
Thoughts?
 
grab a cheap manual fisheye like a peleng 8mm (check out winter 2010 edit for an example) or get a glidecam if you already have a wide angle.
 
Just get a gopro. I've seriously fallen in love with those little guys. Sure you won't get the control, as you would or may get with others. However, you'll get professional looking shots, easy on you're wallet, and you already will have all the equipment you need [just use a old ski pole as a dolly, forget the glidecam]. Why pay exponentially more for just a slightly less mediocre better shot?
 
my friend has one of thses for his t2i it is so sick and works very well definatly worth the money then just slap a fish eye on and you ready to go
