Go pro mount to pole?

yes that is an option but no u dont not necessarily i used the head strap and rapped it around my pole works great.

ducttape or tie-rap the adjustable arm-thingy around a pole of you don't use it for other stuff....

1) get an old/ rental pole of free

2) break it off at your desired length

3) stomp the end down with your boot so its flat

4) mount the mount on the flat part

5) get some sick shots!

my friend made one out of an old ski pole and the display case that the cam comes in

why would you carry a third and useless pole of you can mount it on one of your regular poles with probably even less trouble ?

yep, me too, i already had a pole with a bolt sticking out for screwing into a camera, so it functions like a unipod(?).then i used the casing mount and glued a nut to it with tha same wire tapped into it as in a camera; so now i can mount both regular cams and the gopro on my pole and i can also mount the gopro on regular tripods ....
