great line. needless to say, it's way more technical than the other two posted in this thread. i have to wonder if the colors/aesthetics of the video are being heavily weighed or something cause those^ lines were awesome and all but "LINE OF THE WINTER?" yeah right. so maybe the imperfect landing and the flatter colors will dock you points? who knows

also your other video on vimeo of the traverse send was awesome. take off on a traverse and land on one! haha sick
 
Am I missing something? The video OP posted was boring.

Technical lines should be the "line(s) of the winter".

To me, someone skiing powder is nothing crazy. If it was an actual competition, that person would have scored very low. where as SkiBumSmiths line killed it.

HELL YES YOU SHOULD!

I mean there's a $1k monthly prize in addition to the big one at the end. Submit that for now in Feb, and see if you can squeeze out a better one in the later months for the big shot.

Anything can be a line. Really good lap through a solid park with a followcam / selfie stick could easily take it. Same with a crazy street line.

The OP line wasn't one of my highlights personally.

This one was snowboarding, but it was awesome. Fun, loads of personality, etc.


Again snowboarding, but blew my fucking mind.


This was some serious billy goat shit.


Fantastic line for January. Technical, burly and had great light.

Seriously though, you guys should enter shit. I mean the monthly prizes are going to keep cranking out, and I can tell you that as 1/3 of the judging team for this, we're not only scoring the big pow lines high. Anyone can take this.

edit that clip more. too much skiing crud before you get to the rad part.

the other two winners were meh except for the conditions. Rob is also really good at switching his camera hand while shredding which adds to the coolness. But neither were that great IMO. the field is wide open for someone to earn a real W.

This is the price of entering late. So many people put it off, but they could have put in at least one meh clip for the first two months and had a shot at a cool thousand bucks.

If you go on the site they break down how they judge the videos. The actual riding is only 25% of the score.
 
"The Submission cannot have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind or exhibited or displayed publicly through any means"

Copy and pasted right off their list of rules
 
Oh crap I guess I should have read the rules. I might try to go film it again and ski it smoother. Low tide is making things tough.

I got 2nd place in the mountain bike version of this contest with a video that I had on youtube and Pinkbike for months before the contest... maybe they check more thoroughly if you win
