Whats the difference between the HD Helmet HERO or the HD HERO Naked. What should i be getting for filming skiing?
 
Okay, well what cam should i get?i like the $300 price range and i want something that is good for skiing and can have multiple mounts.
 
kk thats what im probably going to get. and does anyone know the onboard memory or if there is any? or does it come with an SD card. because i am looking and i can't find out. I just want to know if i need to buy an SD card as well when i buy the cam.
 
i would keep the contour hd in mind. , has lazers for positioning and u know what your taping. and a twistable lense. lightweight compact. And my bud has the gopro and it freezes up alot. and u can mount the contour on the side of your helmet. instead of having the retarded looking square coming off the top of ur head
 
Doesnt come with an SD card. You can pick an 8 gb one up at any best buy for around 20 dollars. Get one that is compatiable with HD. My 8gb SD card holds 120 minutes of HD video from my GoPro. its the perfect size. every day i go out filming i bring it home and I can cut and Paste and BANG my cards empty and i can keep filming the next day
 
and th contour hd comes with a 2gb ,micro sd card. and is a little easier to work with gloves on because it only has 2 switches and they are big
 
The GoPro only has two buttons also and it is super easy to use with gloves. I love my GoPro HD. Theres a new LCD screen attachment coming out soon so you can see what your filming. Only $50. Go check out the GoPro HD cult
 
Then my question now is, which one lasts longer in the cold. because up to 3 hours for the contour or 2.5 for the GoPro. can change drastically in 0 degree weather.
 
heres the story. i was in the UP of michigan with me and my buds. Its was about 0to-5 degrees out. his GoPro kept freezing and he had to quit taping. My contour did not and i got to get sick footy all day.
 
Get the contour HD 1080p. So much more legit than the gopro. It has better mounts, and it is not as noticeable on your head therefore not ruining other shots of you skiing with it on.

if you're skiing with the gopro for POV footage and simultaneously someone is filming you with another camera you don't look like a goof....

but seriously? how many of you get filmed by 2 cameras at the same time? are we celebrities or skiers?

(but hey, do you care what ppl think of you when skiing? Grow some nuts, look goofy and come back with awesome footage! )
 
when someone else is filming you while you are using the cam on your head, it won't look as goofy if you have the contour
