Go out for lunch in Highschool?

Who here is allowed to go out for lunch in HS, i am home now, and its my lunch period and i was curious/bored to see who else is allowed to go out for lunch. In my school only seniors are allowed to.
 
we have open campus here its pretty sweet, except our lunches are only 25 min
 
exactly. we always used to sneak out and go to this awesome restaurant, beef-a-roo, which was a delicious ghetto arby's kind of place.
 
oh yea we can. we can leave anytime of the day we want. As long as you sign out. I am going home in 10 minutes. Its great being a senior.
 
my school you can't but if no one catches you then whatever. you can only with senior privlages if you have a study hall conected with the lunch period but that doeswn't matter. so i go out to lunch during lunch time every other day. the other one i just go at 1230 after physics.
 
we weren't allowed to without an "out to lunch pass", which were a pain in the ass to get.. so i went out for lunch every day during my senior year anyway, because i really didn't give a fuck.
 
my high school did not allow anyone to leave the school at anytime during the school day, including seniors. it was fucking bullshit. but i didn't even have a lunch period anyway, so it guess it didn't matter to me. still shit though.
 
back in high school I used to go out to lunch every day. now in college I eat on campus 95% of the time
 
^ same. no free periods or study halls either and we have to take classes all day. no leaving for lunch even if you're a senior.
 
At my high school it's open campus lunch for everybody, freshmen to seniors, but they're trying to make it closed cause everybody gets baked and then comes back to class.
 
my schools in dc, so its pretty tight since we can leave campus

theres union station and china town a couple of blocks away and a chipotle, subway, au bon pair, and some ghetto fried chicken joints near by. and theres a mall 10 mins away so alot of kids go off campus
 
well iam out of college now but my high school wouldn’t let us go out for lunch although years ago when my dad went to the same high school they were allowed and also had a smoking area for students outside…times have changed
 
i ahve gone out for lunch every day since rade 9 my school is right down town so there are like a billion places to eat. Can you guys not smoke near ur school? liek at my school yu can step out the door and instatly start smoking kids go like in between classes
 
we have open campus. you dont need to even sign out or anyhting its hellla chill. we have a 20 minute break in between 1st and 2nd period so i can just go home because its like a 2 minute drive its awesome.
 
wow thats pretty messed up. you can go anywhere for lunch at my highschool, its just that lunch is only like 40 minutes so no point in going home
 
back in high school we had like 35 min lunch and as we all know school food is equivalent of licking dog shit off the ground so me n my buddies would always just take off in my truck through the woods behind school and cut out to the main road so we wouldnt get caught and then go get subway or somethin
 
within like 2 minutes of my school there is a tim hortans subway little ceasers kfc burger king new your fries and a whole bunch more. why wouldnt they let you out for lunch? bad area?
 
no my high school was just completely pointless!!!

sry for the claim, but i could seriously have taught my classes better than my teachers...
 
during exams we have lunch at the end of the day because its half days and anyone who drives or gets a ride can leave early during that lunch and go whereever but thats only on exams that we have during the middle and end of the year
 
cant go out cant order delivery and our school lunch sucks balls

and theres no point in sneaking out cuz the nearest place is to far away
 
every one can go out somepeople are to lazy and just call for delivery and wait outside and bring food in
 
we have open campus for lunches. Its only for the Jr. and Sr.s though.

We sophomores do it anyway since they have no way to regulate it.
 
back in my day, we could get an "off campus pass" second semester of sophomore year, was just a sticker on your ASB card, but basically a smile or a lame excuse, or just refusing to stop would get you off, or worst case scenario, smuggling people in your trunk if the principal was out there at the entrance, which was like 3 times a year.
 
we dont have open campus and seniors dont have any special privaleges

except im a senior and i have this class called school to career, so i can leave during the last block of the day, but it also means i have to have a job with a minimum ten hours..

cooooooooool. so i got home everyday at 1:30 or 1, sit around for field hockey form 2:45-5 and then work until 6-10

it sucks
 
My school doesn't allow us to. But I think that no schools anywhere should allow their students to leave for lunch. My reason for this is that it just wastes gas and just makes our snow disappear faster.
 
at my highschool everyone gets 40 mins for lunch and can do whatever they want, if they want to leave you can. and theres a grocery store,bakery,7/11, A&W, Mcdonalds, Little Ceasers and another pizzaplace and a skatepark all witihin 5 minutes walk...its awesome. my teacher let me skip calss to go get thim lunch one day, it wsa awesome.
 
yeh, only in yr 12 here.

its good, my school is about 30 meters walk from a nice little shopping strip with a heap of cafes, and you can leave in frees or lunch.

then again, we can also go to the canteen and get food any time we like...even if its not open, and get to skip the queue if there is one.
 
wow ur guys schools are fucked in elementary school i was allowed to leave the school grounds without signing out even and my HS encourages us to leave school during our spares cause otherwise classes get disturbed by our noise
 
im not in a bad area at all. nothing for lunch is in walking distance but a lot of stuff is 5-10 minutes in a car. they just don't let us.
