haha, funny story, my brothers friends were on the Red Mile after flames won one of their games, and from what they told us it seems no one knows shit at all about hockey, there just their to party, aka jumping on the bandwagon
 
there were some people on 17th just to piss of cops, throwing bottles at cops and stuff. It was much different two years ago when the red mile was a spur of the moment decision which blew up. Its too patrolled and set up now, with that many cops down their and news reports on the red mile months before the flames were even in the playoffs there was bound to be people down there to just fuck shit up. However alot of people down there are big flames fans, it is just a few people out there fucking it up. Whatever though no city will come close to touching what was the red mile 2 years ago. It was crazy.
 
everything in my post was true. there is now way edmonton has the fastest growing economy in Canada. Calgary is tied for for the cleanest city in the world. I just dont understand how you edmonton idiots think you live in a better city then calgary. but hey whatever you continue living in a second rate city while your sothern alberta neighbour dictates whats going to happen for the rest of the province and the rest of the country. I am not going to lie. I live and a very beautiful and extremely wealthy neighbourhood in Calgary. I know the SE and NE are shit but our city center, SW and NW are amazing. You cant honestly tell me downtown edmonton is nicer then calgary. I love your university and whyte ave. and jasper are fun places to chill but comparing both citys, Edmonton is def. sub par compared to calgary.
 
Edmonton's economy is the fastest growing economy in Canada. Fort Mac is right up the road from us, and the oil sands are booming. I'm not sure how or what Calgary does that dictates what our province and country is doing. Edmonton is still the capital last time I checked.

I agree downtown Calgary is nicer than Edmonton's but I don't work in an office building so why would I care? Whyte Ave is a hundred times nicer than 17th, and we actually have a vibrate arts/culture scene. Calgary's sprawl has gotten out of hand too.

As a skier, I can't say I wouldnt want to live in Calgary, but sometimes some Calgarians are too cocky and spoiled for their own good. The rest of the province sees you as the little spoiled annoying brat.

Its just the rivalry thing coming out, and for real I know 90% of Calgarians are totally cool and there are probably as many dicks in Edmonton as Calgary so lets leave it at that.
 
Dude every single canadian oil company runs their head offices out of Calgary. Give or take a few. Yes the oil is in fort mac. But the oil companies that drill in fort mac make their business decisions in calgary. Calgary also has a booming arts/culture scene. We have one of the best arts school in the country.
 
what u said about the oil companys is true, all major oil companys in canada now have their head offices in calgary, plus if u own land in calgary ur property value has doubled or trippled in the last few years!

Although I live in Calgary I think both cities suck. Calgary is too big, and their are too many chochy fags here. Edmonton is gay too, just cause its edmonton. Move to vancouver island, that place is the shiz. Skiing and wakeboarding.
 
i hate living in calgary. i would probabyl hate living in edmonton even more though. its cold and far from skiing

I think i found out how to settle this.... siiiince this happends to be a SKIING site, edmontons skiiing sucks waayyyyy more asss than calgary so lets just leave it at that.
