Does anybody else make gnocchi? Does anybody else know what it is? It's a normal (Italian) dish at my house but nobody else I know has heard of them or had them outside of my house.
 
its freakin delicious. i saw it on the food network and made it. i love them. what kind of sauce to you put on them. if any
 
You can do basic marinara/meat sauce or you can make them with a pesto sauce and zucchini/tomatoes/squash cut up in it. Like a pasta salad.
 
nee-yock-key, it's a pasta in little bullets but the dough is mixed with either potatoes or cottage cheese. Here's a picture.

ah Gnocchi is sooo good. I get it whenever i go to Montreal. It can be made out of a bunch of different things, but most commonly it is a potato base. Goes well with any sauces pasta would go with, it's just a different texture to pasta. I love it.
 
Overated. Italy is overrated, especially their soccer players. Gnocchis are allright, a little too sweet for my taste though
 
my grandma makes it man i love being italian...i always find it funny when i se it spelled because it is pronouced en yo kee
