Which resorts do you think have the gnarliest inbounds terrain?

From my experiences.. I'd probably have to say either Squaw Valley or Alta. Both are just plain ricockulous.

hahah i didnt mean deer valley i meant jackson hole, no idea how that came out deer valleys brutally easy hahah

Crested Butte definately has to be on this list. considering what is open even if there isn't much snow at all.

haha. yeah.. and the stuff off broken arrow and silverado is pretty damn scary if you're not ready for it lol.

Big Sky doesn't belong on there. Jackson and Bridger both have numerous runs that are exponentially harder than anything open to the public at Big Sky. If they'd open up the Little Couloir more it might be a different story, but that would still only be one run.

Im claiming Squaw but ive got homies who out here who still claim on crested butte being straight Gnar. They say squaws got the cliffs but Butte has the steeps. Cant wait to ski crested butte!

Japan's mountains probably arent exactly the steepest... they are pretty much all volcanic, which in most cases means big rocks and stuff, but not sheer rock cliffs and stuff.

Europe, yes.. but then again.. there is no out of bounds in europe.. so that cant really count.

I LOVE crystal, that run where you go all the way around the outback bowl and down over the parking lot. I cant remember what its called but go to crystal and everytime the snow is good and i jizz myself on that run

read my second post i thought jackson hole but deer valley came out dont ask me how/why but it did read up son

Baker??? I dunno guys. Baker' BC is dope but its inbounds is kind of a joke.

I'd say Whistler, Jackson, Crystal, Red (a few years ago), and Snowbird

loon mtn, nh has a couple trails that have ski patrollers on them who dont let you ski too fast.

i think its to make sure you dont get too outta control on the steeps and slam into a family of four waiting for their baby to come down the mountain. they even got maps to show you that it says the trails are slow zones.

what would i do without them?!

yea deer valley

im going to take a guess and say that it isnt in the east which means i havent skied it. Cant go wrong with a little backcountry though. Nice to earn your turns at least some of the time.

you fail on the slam because its obvious thats devils castle i was simply agreeing with deer valley having the gnar terrain.

This should give you some idea of how steep parts of squaw are...

And this map labels only what are considered the "runs" at squaw. Not the parts inbetween the trees, and secret inbounds runs that only locals tend to know about.

NONE of the places any of you have suggested even touch Chamonix. What Chamonix has even inbounds almost blows away everything else.

True but Chamonix is still epic. I think places like AK are the only places that could beat it. And technically its inbounds but I suppose your right.

There isnt any place in europe that really HAS an out of bounds... its only places where you CANT ski becuase they are sheer cliffs, or change of ski resort areas etc...

for example.. just look at the dolamites... its like 30 ski areas all interconnected and stuff, with no real out of bounds. its madness!

the ribbon is a 30 minute hike from alta, inbounds

the pitch of the snow on it 50-60 degrees

fall line is off a 400 foot cliff

the choke shown is wide enough for one prophet 130

baker is pretty redic, like over 100ft cliffs inbounds. sure it says danger cliffs, and there are 2 sets of ropes, but, if u have the skill, and know wat ur doing, im sure it is possible, to some extent

crested butte. skiing that shit when its icy and there are rocks everywhere... game over. you fall, you die on sooo many lines. like uncontrollable slide at 40 mph through rocks kind of shit. and the cliffs in the lines are retarded
