I was gonna suggest something else but checked out those Diablo mitts and they look dope. The shell protects the down liner from getting shredded. They should be uber warm, and having the gloved liner also is helpful cuz it works with cell phone touch screens and it's always good to have a glove for when you take your mitts off to access stuff. I had to purchase thin gloves to go under my down mittens. I do wonder if the gloves shift around a lot having three layers in there. My only criticism is I wish the down fill weight was more (650g is still adequate) and there's no strings to hook your mittens to your jacket. My mittens have strings and that way you don't gotta worry about holding them on the lift if you take em off. You could always get some paracord and make your own string ties tho.
If I were you tho, I'd skip the hestra or dakine gloves and save $$ by getting some Kincos as your everyday glove. They're super warm, cheap, durable, and look great.
I struggled for years with fingers going numb (even in 30 deg weather) and after wasting money on so many decent gloves, ended up dropping some cash on down mittens. They were my go to until I got Kinco gloves last year. I use the Kincos for almost everyday and bring out the mittens when the temps drop below 10-15F. Also saved me last year from rain. Could not be happier.
