Glossy screens

doesn't it glare like no other? i havent really inspected for that or anything but i would think thats what would happen.

I have a glossy screen and it doesn't really do anything in terms of quality or anything. I do, however, prefer the normal screens just because I find the glossy screens get dirty easier (fingerprints and such).

my sister's school gave them macbooks and she has teh glossy screen, its pretty cool, i prefer it actually,  IMO it makes the colors better

if you clean the glossy like 1 time a week it is baller, but if you are going to be working in a high light environment then i would go with the reg.

dont just think about your house too.

glossy sucks in ....

airplanes during the day

airports

ski lodges

cafes

cars

beaches

etc.

idk where u work but im mobile

idk i take my comp everywhere, the glare goes away if you ignore it. plus it gives off great color when editing videos or pictures if you are into that kind of stuff

I find the glossy to be much better, an in general this display looks far better than any other I've seen. It has a more desktop-PC like feel.

As for glare, I've used my indoors and outdoors in high and low light environments and have had no problem. As far as fingerprints go, I've got a cloth meant for cleaning camera optics and a quick wipe gets rid of the dust and fingerprints.

All in all, the advantages outweight the disadvantages on glossy screens.

i have glossy... i didnt know i had a choice when i bought it, and thats what i got....i havent really had any issues with glare, or at least not anything more than when i had a thinkpad....
