Global Weirdness Happening

- This US winter being shitty for the moment as pretty much nothing to do with climate change as people already said it. Good and bad years happen and it's pretty random. Although because of the slow climat change trend we might see more and more extreme winter, good or bad. And trust me, I am as well sick of those people going crazy when they have a year with less snow. But same goes for the one going all "where's your global warming now fucking socialist enviromentalists??!" when there's a very snowy winter.

- I don't believe the earth will cease to exist because of the GW, nothing drastic or extreme will happen in the next 50 or 100 years. But I do believe we will slowly see some changes, and those will slightly impact our lives but more importantly, the next generation ones. And that's sad.

- All in all, i'm just getting utturely frustrated at the people claiming GW has nothing to do with anthropological reasons. Yes earth do go through climat cycles, both warm and cold but not at the rate we're experiencing right now. Some people need to stop being self centered by thinking they can get away with shitting on our planet. We do have an impact on it, and the vast majority of the scientist community agrees on that matter. And don't tell me they don't know what they're talking about.

So NO this shitty winter isn't directly related to global warming, YES global warming is happening and YES Humans are the main reason behind it.

that's my opinion .

I do :)

I was just clarifying my views on it since my first post might have been seen as one of those "the world is going to end because of us" post.

So I just wrote what I think a little bit more clearly.

But you're right, your post might not have been to right one to quote.

This is the problem, people like you who are freaking out about 2 YEARS of weather. No one freaked out 10-20 years ago when they had a couple years of weird weather because some dip shit politicians didn't shove dooms day global warming propaganda in peoples faces.

Ok. I gotta throw in my two cents here. It is a proven fact that there have been periods throughout recent history (last 500 yrs) where the co2 levels were higher and for longer periods of time than what the current trends are. It's a fact that al gore has all his chips in the carbon trading market. The top "scientists" who push the whole idea of "global warming/climate change/climate weirdness" have been proven to falsify data. (look up climategate). Now does that mean that pollution is good. No. Does that mean that steps to clean our environment are bad. No. But I'll be damned if I'm gonna let these crooks tax me for everything I do that emits carbon. Seriously you emit it everytime you exhale. Meanwhile the biggest polluters (china/India) would be exempt? Craziness. This whole idea of 90% of climatologists agree is total horseypoop. It's more like 30%. Look up some of the things a few have presented here like solar cycles and oscillation etc.. Then make an educated hypothesis. Don't buy what ya read on Wikipedia or from the media. Look through all perspectives to see the big picture folks.

Global warming IS a doomsday scenario; not for all life on planet earth, but certainly for human beings. This change isn't happening on a timescale of 5-10 years, but environmentally appreciable changes are on the order of 50-100 years.

We lament the loss of a few weeks of skiing during warm winters, but the continuation of human-driven global warming carries far greater consequences than that. It's more serious even than the loss of the entire ski industry. We are talking about the destruction of entire ecosystems and the loss of life, both terrestrial and aquatic, that serve as the base for world-wide food chains.

The fluctuation in weather we see year to year is probably not due to global warming, but no one can deny, with any veracity, that the average temperature about which winters fluctuate is increasing at an unprecedented rate.

Global warming is not "so 2005."

It's the future. And playing the ostrich is not going to save us from it.
