Global warming? True or false

false, completely false.

climate is constantly changing, and frankly we just dont know enough.
 
true . there is so much evidence that it is happening , and burning all the gas isn't helping we need to find a solution to all the car pollution.
 
let me re-phrase that...

climate has constantly been changing since the begining of time, and we know so little about it to make assumptions like Co2 is to blame.
 
Co2 isn't rhe only cause. i agree that climate has always been changing, but how can you look at all the facts of what is happening and just say that it's alright?

 
true enough, but coal is something that can easily be replaced with nuclear power(for base load), and natural gas(for peak hours). unlike gasoline in cars.
 
word, animals alone put out more natural pollution than cars. and a volcano eruption is like 10 years of US pollution so I think its kind of arrogant to think we have that huge of an effect on the millions of years old world in only 100 years.

That's a pretty bad graph. It shows .2 degree intervals making it extremely unbalanced.

Not to mention the fact that it's nearly impossible to tell the temperature for the past 1,000 years.

While the modern "global warming" theory may not be entirely correct, humans are definitely having a negative impact on the environment.

if you would like me to get into it i would love to.... but i dont feel it necessary here because it is very rare to come across an open minded ns'er who will actually read and think about what youre saying instead of just shutting you down... which i guess i sort of just did to you people... wow... im a hypocrite.. okay sorry.
 
but i will say one thing in response to that graph. global warming is not something looked at over the past 1000 years. scientists look at it as long as 5 ice ages ago until now... so its inaccurate to just use the past 1000 years.
 
And right now the temperature is going up, therefore we have a thing called "global warming." Somehow it is debatable whether or not humans are impacting the environment (that is beyond me), but you can't deny that we're in a warming trend right now. With all the overwhelming evidence supporting it, not believing in global warming is almost as amazing as thinking 9/11 was a conspiracy.
 
True, but is it a large number of individials' faults? FALSE face the facts,

there are sooo many more people in the world, so much more shit is being built,

plus the world gets colder some periods, and some periods it gets warmer. WATER hold 10x the ammount of heat in than CO2, so suck my kak greenhouse gasses.
 
i absolutely dread it when somebody uses global warming, and greenhouse gasses in the same sentance. if you THINK it is a problem, then of course it is! but if you think it isn't, then it isnt! (very very basic logic here)

I just get pissed because the media is pumping this idea that this is an epidemic into the publics' mind's. Face it, stories which scare people gain attention, therefore more attention is paid on the network. Its not right for them to say this crap
 
ive seen many graphs of the same data, and they didnt look at all like this. fact: between 1940 and 1970, the global temperature actually declined while emissions were on an uproar.
