Global Warming is Not real

^here all, let me explain to you why he made this incredibly stupid post: he is McLovin37.

not only were 2/3 things he stated untrue, he also managed to state them in horribly poor grammar.

And the "good" science is funded by who? Anyway you slice it. Funds for Mainstream science is where the popular interest is. Life goes on.

actually, the only limiting factor for plants is CO2, plants would thrive and grow larger in a more CO2 rich environment

Earth has never been so close from the Sun ... global warming exists, but it's not the human beeing's fault.

That's funny ... have yo ever thought about that? When did this global warming theory appeared?

Just when demand and consumption were turning flat, just like political ecology failed ... Being "gree"n is the last thing big companies found to make us pay ... pay more cause green products are more expensive ...

Bullshit. Earth doesn't need human beeings to exist, to get warm, to get cold. Stop thinking our tiny lives are so important

you're a towel.

but in all seriousness, come on folks, do you really think that driving around cars for the last 100 years and having factories like never before wont effect the climate?

exxon-mobil agreed in may to stop funding research groups that deny the existence of global warming. they were linked to at least 9 research groups.

I just don't understand how anyone can believe this a big conspiracy of "bad science" concocted by the environmentalists. when looking for conspiracy, look to the money. lets say a bunch of clean energy companies and environmentalists are behind global warming, right?

somehow they manage to fund a vast majority of scientists. but the dirty energy companies that make a shitload more money right now can only scrape together a few? bullshit. people need to use some common sense.

and the idea that humans can't affect our climate is just so god-damn stupid, I don't even know where to begin. sorry to offend, but open your fucking eyes. lets see...how many species have we wiped off the face of the planet? we create millions of acres of desserts, we blow the tops off mountains in order to mine and clog rivers and streams, we turn the rain into acid, we destroy millions of acres of topsoil through destructive farming....cmon. what do we do the most? burn carbon.

Seriously? Dinosaurs were wiped out by some kinda huge climate change. They weren't driving many cars nor exploiting a lot of mines.

Thus, I do think what we do is "peanuts" regarding the forces directing the Earth. Look, what's the most powerful thing ever made? The nuclear bomb. Look Hiroshima and Nagasaki, if it wasn't in history books, no one would figure out what happened there.

no one can prove weather or not global warming is are fault or not, back in 74 we thought we were going into the next ice age, and now the earth is getting hotter, it coulde be the sun producing more heat, or us getting closer, or it could be greenhouse gasses, (not c02, as the earth has been producing that since the dawn of time, through forest fires, volcanoes and life forms decaying, infact we only produce about 3% of green house gasses)

Yup, the big one that hit earth inn yucatan. Which didn't affect dirdtly 90% of dinosaurs who died later on because of the huge cloud of dust that is supposed to have hidden the sun and turn earth into a very cold place.

Thus, A meteor made a climate change then.

Fully agree.

Some will say "we don't know so we have to do something just "if"".

I'm much more into that "anyway men are so smart, we will find something when and if we really need"

actually, hurricanes (which are affected by climate change) contain the power of many nuclear bombs. but that is besides the point, regardless of whether it is proven that we affect the change, we dont need to dump pollutants into the atmosphere

Yup. I meant "man made things".

You're right, global warming or not, I'm not that kinda man who throws burnt cigarettes on the ground or leave my old dishwasher in the forest.

However, personally, I don't wan to restrain my fun of having a powerful car besause some kind of greenpeace idiot said it was bad.

On a global point, I have a problem with these green regulations applied to the whole world. Greens a looking poors in the eyes and telling them "we rich countries had a big development by polluting. Too bad, we have decided that YOU won't have that right. So stay poor and shut up"

Maybe because if you apply your regulations to developping countries, people are just gonna die.

I mean, being green is REALLY a rich man concern. When you're starving in the desert or in the jungle, you don't care about pollution. You wouldn't. I don't feel like taking away their chance to develop because I have a rich man's concern.

Talking about my own behavior, I'd say that life not worth if we don't have the right to have fun anymore because of green laws. Then no more skiing cause it's polluting and so on ...

No abuse, on both sides. It's still a free world... well I hope

global warming, to some extent is happening. but it is wrongly labeled. global climate change is what is happening. the ice caps are melting, but not as fast as you think. the front page of our paper said the ice caps would be gone by the end of the summer. that is not true. our last 2 winters have been very cold with more snow each in the last 20 years. our last 2 summers have been cold as well. the temperature rarely hits anything over 63 degrees. we haven't had a 70 degree day yet, which is very unusual. there is a lake near my house that is still frozen. this lake is only at 1500 ft. some scientists even predict the gulf stream will shift and europe will go into an ice age.
and also the before and after pictures in al gore's movie were taken in the winter and then in the summer. that's why it looks so drastic

I don't really care about the global warming argument. If it is us, it's out of our hands now, and if it isn't, it's never been in our hands. Period.

Although, my argument towards cutting back emissions and everything is that who wants to live in a shithole like Los Angeles or Beijing. Who wants to live in a place where you can actually see the air you breath?

Alright, it hasn't been proven that the dinosaurs were killed by the asteroid or comet that hit the yucatan. Aniosperms survided the impact at the K/T boundary, which means that some of the most fragiles creatures survived the massive impact, yet the dinosaurs died. The theory is not 100% correct and there are other theories that work too. Just dont listen to your science teacher that saw a special on discovery and is convinced that one asteroid killed everything, cause that's not the case.

What everyone needs to worry about is another ice age and snowball earth. Snowball earth would suck dick, excpet for skiing, which wouldn't last that long causeeveryone would be killed.

sorry about this post. all the letters on my computer disappeared and Im typing this blindly. thanks.

WOW, the climate is changing, that's only happened about a thousand times before, and on a much larger scale! Sugar is sweet! I can make blatantly obvious and pointless statements on an internet forum! I start arguments just for the lulz! I know I'm right because I think I'm right! Everyone else is wrong!

This is probably one of the stupidest threads on NS.
