Global Dance Fest

I had thought about it, but theres only 3 dudes playin that I would care to see/hear, the rest....meh. The price is also meh. I instead to go with tix to Armin Van Buuren @ Beta on May 27th. :)
 
Ya, not as good as last year. Though I'm in love with Infect Mushroom, DeadMau5, Kaskade, Kostas, Dragon, Trajikk and Pendulum even though it's just a DJ set.

I got my two-day pass about a month ago. It's going to be a good couple days. Can't wait to dance.

BTW Has anyone seen the new track Pendulum has? It's so inspirational.
 
Steve Aoki and LA Riots and Mau5 are the only three worth seeing, basically everybody else playing is a variation of the same trance DJ
 
if you like going to places filled with guidos and gang members and "chicanos", then go ahead. basically all those nightclubs fulfill every racial stereotype ever created. there are much more fun events to attend on fridays.
 
clearly you're not from Denver, because everybody knows that the crowd at the church blows. end of story.
But if you like trance and roided up mexican dudes wearing affliction shirts and acne scars, by all means, see for yourself.

Global day 1 looks sick, but I don't think its worth the money.If you want to go to a good show go to sonic bloom
 
OK, dubstep. Different genre... same retardedness. Maybe a little less dancing and a little more head nodding. It doesn't matter.
 
heres the thing about sonic bloom, its put on by the "zilla family". zilla is three dudes from string cheese incident, eoto is the other two. zilla is 100% improv trippy jam kinda show while eoto is 100% improv dubstep, but its not really dubstep as you think about it, its this fucking crazy sick shit when you see it live. zilla puts on a raging show, but eoto is just off the fucking hook. but the fact that all of sci will be present leaves the potential for some crazy things, there are djs who just do dubstep (vibesquad) but then there are odd acts like lynx and janover, lynx has this crazy fucking voice and can beatbox janover plays this fancy instrument that i dont remember the name of.

global is just a bunch of djs playing for 16 year olds who are rolling their face off dressed like hoes. if you have to choose, go with sonic bloom, mishawaka is a sick ass place, and camping will be rowdy too. im trying to go but after wakarusa its gonna be tough, but ill be at global simply because i work there and will get in for free, its honestly pretty fun everytime i go, so i might as well hit er up.

Raves are fun, don't get me wrong, but legitimate are a truly unique and wonderful experience. I always feel dumber after a rave whereas I always feel enlightened after other (specifically EOTO) shows.
 
I didn't know. I didn't hate on you. I just don't understand why you have to hate because I'm going to a rave at Red Rocks. I also don't understand how that makes me ignorant. I'm just not into dubstep like you aren't into raves, and it looks like you do the same thing as I would at a rave... look at the pretty colors, listen to sick music and dance. I'm not there for the people dancing with me because yes... they look retarded.

I payed 100 bucks to get away from Summit and dance my fucking ass off.

I don't care about how it was started by a couple dudes. It's a gathering. A gathering of people who like the same music you do. Listen to the music, and stop buggin' out.

infected was kinda meh i thought. they had the bass so much higher than the treble, it kinda threw it off.

savoy and deadmau5 though, they rocked the fucking house!
 
bailed out last second friday to go see lotus at the mish. much better choice imo. raged harder than any rave ive been too
 
Yeah, I wasn't fully satisfied, that's for sure. Hopefully next year will be better. Maybe I'll have enough money to go to Athens. OR... just skip Global and go to a few shows in the UK. I have to see Pendulum within the next year and a half.

Who saw these guys? They were awesome.
