It's a little more complex than that, I go with the natural cycle, got fucked by us idea.

Naturally the cause of ice age-warm time is normal, though there is also the idea of a magnetic shift to the hemispheres rotating 45 degrees.(backed by increased rotation of the magnetic poles)

Global cooling is affecting europe more (or soon will, once greenland is all melted, which will happen soon). And at the moment North america is slowly going into drought(no ice caps = less water into streams and lakes, less evaporation, less rain.)

No one has a clear clue on what is happening though, but it is clear we are tres fucked
 
well i think global cooling could be legit cas we keep getting snow in WA and we havent gotten this much in a while
 
global cooling better mean the ice age... think... an ice age with skiing as sick as it is now... i mean, the last time an ice age came around skiing was like, lame still...

Dude a fricken ice age would rock! We would find a way to survive, just like we always have. But see, skiing will progress SO much, cause everyone can ski everyday if they want. I say we purpously put the world into an ice age... not quite sure how yet but we'll find a way
 
Global warming, Global cooling...

I think the scientists dont know what the F**K theyre talking about. People were whining about global cooling back in the 70's. then it was global warming for a while, now it's global cooling again? they change their opinions to match the weather.
 
haha yeah say the gas fumes and stuff from cars caused global cooling instead of causing all that stuff for global warming.. ppl would be running cars all day

see everyone is trying to fight off global warming with the kyoto protocol and shit like that. but what they dont realise, is that emissions or not, the earths climate DOES NATURALLY CHANGE and we waste ALL OF OUR TIME trying to stop the bullshit greenhouse gasses and NO TIME preparing for hte inevitable. fuckin people can be so naive
 
honestly....you guys who think its a "conspiracy" are a little bit ignorant. yes the earth does have periodic warming and cooling periods and general increases of carbon...but if you look at a graph, in the past 30 years, the level goes completely off of the chart. No shit humans are causing this...we have cars, planes, pollution...dozens of our daily activities release carbon into the atmosphere; even leaving a light bulb on releases energy. HOw could this have happened in years before? Cars weren't as widely used until this century, and with all the new techilogical innovations, its no wonder we've been putting more carbon into the atmosphere. And for those of you who are dumb enough to think itd be sweet if other parts of the earth went into a permenant ice age...just watch an inconvenient truth and itll tell you what will happen if we dont change what we're doing to the earth. and you guys are idiots if you think its a bunch of propaganda.
 
The reason why people worry about it is because it changing to fast. The global tempurature has risen 1 degree in the last 3 years. It is supposed to rise that much in about one every one million years.

If you think that global warming is good, it means you are not a skier and should be banned.

 
theres a difference between global warming and climate change. where did you get that information that the temperature is supposed to rise 1 degree in every million years? because ive done quite extensive research on this and wrote a research paper on global warming and ive discovered (through many sources) that the global temperature resembles a sine graph.

i said this in the previous thread. picture we're in one of the ice ages. no carbon, no emissions, no human activity...pretend your one of those creatures in the movie. the ice is beginning to melt, what are you going to blame that on? global warming? too bad theres no emissions!

seeing how there have been more than one ice age...i think thats evidence in its own that global temperature is like a sine graph.
