"32.6% endorsed AGW......Among abstracts expressing a position on AGW, 97.1% endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming"

Listen up..

How can you trust these predictions if they can't even forecast 15 years correctly?????

The earth isn't warming, get over it.

Oh yeah, and that that US is snow cover is 15% above average.

#1. You used the wrong form of 'you're'

#2 I am pretty sure you omitting the same amount of carbon as I am, you hypocrite

, I omit very little carbon as i do not drive a car and my house is run by solar panels and hydroelctric energy, i have a 1 acre garden that supplies me year round and I harvest angoraa rabit fur to create all my clothing. I salvage road kill( mostly deer) to use their venison and hide to create gloves and shoes and other materials needed to survive in the Michigan climate. When not harvesting worms from my organic worm farm, I create peace pipes out of the wood floating down my river, modeled after the potawatamo tribes that lived on the land many moons ago. The profit made from the peace pipes is spent on only the finest kush the last native americans have to offer, which i then share with the natives to calm the inner spirit and rid my mind of ommiters like you.

Oi get yer head out of yer bum climate change is happening and we all need to nut up and accept that if we are going to do anything about it. Deniers like you are the reason we can't shit done, and are also jeopardizing the future of skiing as we know it.

Dude, your an idiot. You clearly can't read. It is saying out of the paper that say its AGW, 97% of those people respond to him and endorsed it.

hahahaha what? About 65% of scientists don't have an opinion on climate change. And about 34% of scientists say climate change does exists and of that 97% of those scientists say humans are the main cause. Only 0.7% of scientists think climate change doesn't exist. It's also fun to note that the more respected the scientist and the more "expertise" he/she has in their field the more they agree on humans being the key cause of climate change. So you can kindly fuck off with your bullshit replies as you clearly don't understand anything about climate change, nor does anyone else on this thread understand climate change enough to have a valued opinion on the matter. However, those of us on this thread who do state climate change is real trust the fuckin scientists. You're a fucking idiot and people like you are a cancer to the world. People with your thinking are literally ruining the world past the point where we won't be able to salvage it. But then again you live in Virginia so you probably think the world is 6000 years old and a dude totally came back to life after 3 days of death.

Ok, if I were make some sort of ignorant remark about Muslims like you just did Christians and call Gus a faggot, I would be a bigot and banned from this website. Just saying...

But, whatever, I am not going to change your opinion. I hope you enjoy payer higher taxes on these laws legislated around this unjustified questionable science that just increase the cost of living for all of us middle class folk and damper any economic growth.

and that's all it is. your opinion.

Out of curiosity, for what ends would there be a global propaganda conspiracy about climate change? Who benefits? Would the people who benefit have the money to make this happen? Or is it more likely the people who don't benefit have the money to make people think it's all propaganda?

$22 billion of taxpayers’ money, that is the amount that our government pays to stop the “global warming” epidemic. Suppose Global Warming is proven to be false. That money will shrink massively as funding for climate science. Tons of jobs rely on the funding for research of "global warming". What climate scientist is going to tell you its all okay, stop funding my area of research?

Climate change isn't an opinion. It's a fact. You being an idiot is an opinion. But climate change is pretty much a fact. My "opinion" is backed by scientists, you on the other hand have 0.7% of the scientific community to back you up. So you can get fucked as you're an idiot. When you were in school did you try and argue with your teacher that 2+2=5 because that's your opinion on maths? Despite there being an overwhelming majority agreeing that 2+2=4???

Don't politicize the destruction of mother earth man, peace and love. Anyway, say climate change is a total liberal hoax and you're right. Even then, moving away from our carbon based economy would provide benefits for the US as we would no longer be dependent on a deplete able resource that is largely controlled by war-torn countries. Call it planning for the future. Additionally, moving towards a renewables based economy would actually increase job growth as it provide a plethora of new jobs for those building wind turbines, solar panels, and whatever other cool renewable stuff scientists can whip up. Not to mention all the jobs retailing and researching this new tech.

The interesting thing that I've been reading up on is the affects of the ski industry itself on the environment. It's hard to deny that hundreds of people driving 4wd cars up to a mountain which has been partially clear cut so that they can be pulled up the hill and ski on snow which is often made from water pumped out of local streams and rivers using heavily manufactured skis made at least partially of petroleum products doesn't hurt the environment. We need to start looking at ourselves and asking what we are doing not just saying "look, the politicians won't do anything for us!"

I know it's a bit rough to think about and it takes more than one person changing their habits to save the earth but we each have to evaluate our own choices. I don't really know where to go with this in the long run and I sure as hell don't want to give up skiing for good or crush the careers of all of those passionate people who rely on the ski industry for a living but some questions should be asked.

get your head out of your ass. also as many other have said here, even if some how in this world you are right its a hoax, there will still be lottsss of benefits from reforms that were made! It makes no sense to go against it .

So you're saying that because some areas have above average snowfall, that global warming doesn't exist?.. And the earth is warming, its a fact that the average global temperature has risen 1.53 degrees since 1880, and probably not a coincidence that period experienced the most industrial growth the earth has ever seen..

The earth has seen much more abrupt changes in temperature. It is called the younger dryas

I also feel like the older generations are less understanding/more affraid of change that the younger generations and as the younger generations grow older more change will happen. It seems as though my generation (30's) is kind of the cusp of people really willing to change.

What I find interesting is that people think that we can just stop oil companies and our problems will disappear, the truth is we don't have a definitive alternative to oil, we have some promising replacements like Tesla Automotive, but the world is not going to run on rainbows, it's going to take some technological advances in order to replace oil. The other thing I find funny is that most think plastic is made of oil. Almost all north american plastic is made of natural gas, same industry I guess, but cleaner.

Coal on the other hand, Is replaceable, It has been replaceable for the last 60 years. We have wind, solar, hydro, and nuclear. I think it would be wise if globally the world would phase it out, but asia, china in-particular are still building massive coal plants.

My 2 cents anyways

I'd Like to know your background on the subject of climate change. Have you sifted through hours of academic journals or papers on the subject? do you have any formal education on the subject? or are you just pulling things off the internet.

As far as I can tell the answer is very little, Every point of data you have come up with is one that has been debunked many times over, if you truly did any serious research thins would be apparent.

I'd just like to point out that if you think the Earth's climate is not getting warmer you should probably not be trying to prove people wrong when it comes to climate change. The Earth's climate has been fluctuating between glacial and inter-glacial periods (peaks and valleys) since long before any human has been around. Since humans have been around, however, the overall temperature on Earth has been increasing. Since it's peaking in its post-glacial period, it is incredibly difficult to depict exactly what, if any, of this is human caused.

What we do know is that we've been releasing more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere than the Earth has ever had before. We know what greenhouse gasses do, but we've never seen them at this scale before. While yes, they could potentially have no effect and the Earth might just head back into another ice age yet again, but there is still a good chance that we've messed something up (which we always do).

It's the idea of the precautionary principle, if you've ever heard of it. If there's a chance something really bad could happen, we shouldn't really be using the fact that we're not 100% sure as a reason to not do something about it. This is, mind you, a very case-by-case concept but I think it deserves to be applied here.

This is definetly what happened on Mars so humans decided to start over and move to earth but forgot about it and then when the climate becomes uninhabitable here we will move to Mars but forget about it over the long term and it's a endless cycle of moving back and forth between earth and Mars. Illuminati confirmed.
