Glidecam Wrist Brace

Does anybody use a wrist brace when glidecamming? After about a minute my wrist gets tired so i was thinking about buying a wrist guard to take the weight off my wrist.

Well it depends, ski runs are mellow with 10-12 pounds, but long periods of time, will begin to make the wrist sore.

A brace might help for a little, but the best thing you can do is to strengthen the muscles. This would normally be part of recovery, and it will make it easier to hold the glide cam. if you want an easy way, take a stick, if you every played lacrosse or hockey and broke a stick or cut one down, this is perfect (though you could use a whole shaft, you only need a foot or two). Tie some string around the center, you can add notches or drill a hole if it slips. The tie the other end to a weight, I think mine is either 8 or 10lbs, it doesn't take much. You want about 3 feet of string between the weight and the stick. Then just hold the stick in both hands and kind of rotate it until its rolled all the way up, then let it unwind, then do it the other way. Do this a few times each way
