Glidecam 2000 vs Steadicam Merlin 2

I'm looking for a stabilizer, and they're both around the same price on eBay. I have 0 experience with stabilizers, but I'm looking to use one to film skiing this season

as far as i know the merlin style stabilizers arent very good, plus glidecams are one of, if not the best non-electronic stabilizers out there. so definitely get the glidecam.
