well i just watched a vid a guy just posted that he filmed with a glide cam, and i went on thier site and checked it out cause i had never heard of it before, and there is a vid on the glidecam site which shows the diff, here it is, its a regular cam with a person running and filming vs. a regular cam with a glidecam 2000 pro with a guy running, i cant believe how stable and sturdy the shots are, its mind blowing how well the glidecam works!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well the whole point of this thread was to say how amazing follow cam shots would turn out with this thing

yeah..it would be good to see it in action, like filming SOMETHING, not just running along a path..good idea nonetheless

the thing hes talkin abotu is only 400 bucks which may or may not be worth it. that other pro crap tho is bank. 10000? haha.

^not nessacerly... you can get pro level follow cams with just a century death lens and a steady, experienced arm.

yeah.

i seriously doubt any ski videographers are using steadicam setups of any kind.

either a tripod or a steady arm.

you just have to conciously keep your arm steady, you cant just ski and point the camera at the dude.

its technique.

but the steadicams wouldnt hurt.
