Hello everybody, I don't usually do that much internet surfing, chat or whatever, but it was brought to my attention that one had gone on discussing me. I want to thank everyone for the kind words. I've always believed that I must be involved in the sport in order to evolve with it. I know I have been around for a long time but I still feel welcome. So ' Thanks'. The skiers mind is a skiers mind, it doesn't matter if it was 40 years ago or 40 years from now. Styles will change, tricks will change, equiptment will change but the way we think will always be the same. I am proud to be a very strong link in a chain but I'm more proud of the chain getting longer. Ski ya later, Glen

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

First response, dude... You could probably do better to show some respect so matter what you might think. Who else would come on here and show some gratitude like that unless they really have a reason... Glen was and still is the man that has brought skiing to where it is today.

well, I'm actually wondering if it might be him based on TJ's comments.

Hopefully it is, I think it be pretty cool to have him on the site. I remember watching Plake when I was younger before newschool was even around, and realizing that you do not have to fit the skier mold to be a recognized and acomplished skier, all you had to do was want it and work hard for it.

And I gotta admit, I thought it was pretty cool seeing pictures of Plake sliding a rail at a Killington (I think) ski shop.

I went and jumped off my first cliff the day after watching Blizzard of aaahs about 14 years ago!

Met Mr Plake a couple of times since and he was well cool. Respect!

Wow, I went to bed the other nite and like I said I don't really do this chat sortathing online but it's kinda freaky cool. Thanks again for all the support, yes Brad Holmes and I competed with Shane Anderson in the first slope style contest in LA some years ago - 'superfly slopestyle' was the name of it, and we did alright. I think Shane won and Tom Cooley from the midwest kicked butt too - alot has changed since then, but then again it's all the same too so I guess we should get the band back together. Gosh, how do I prove this is me, well I wish I could shoot a picture right now and post it, but I can barely email, in fact Kimberly is typing this for me. I'll talk to ya'll next time - DownHome Tour starts Dec Northwest states- Let's go skiing

I met Glen Plake last January in NY when he was at a showing for Warren Miller Journey. Glen thanks for being cool to all the kids that came out and for all the positive skiing advice. Its not just us that look up to you anymore, you now have a whole new generation to deal with! Thanks for your positive influence on the sport, and see you on the snow.

haha, only a God could make ripping on 210's look so damn easy!!! An inspiration to us all as always Glen! hope to bump into you on the tour like my brother did last year in Ellington, when you were droppin' off that trailer! haha. always wicked cool seein' a pro grace the likes of these forums. thanks again!!!
