Gl2 or vx2100

The VX2000 is sharper than the GL2 which in my opinion has a "muddy" picture.

Be aware though that with more HD coming out all these cameras are becoming obsolete.
 
i liek the color accuracy and overall picture in the gl2 whcih is why i opted for that. you can always sharpen in post if you really really want to. Plus the gl2 itself looks sexier in my opinion.
 
oh the deal is that they are roughly the same quality camera with slightly different technican aspects here and there and it can be narowed down to wich picture you personally enjoy more.
 
the gl2 adds picture to the video and the vx 2100 has better picture quality and prob the bext low light filming ever. it is as good as the proffesional cameras

I love my GL2, but I would agree that it has slightly less picture quality. However, if you're experienced with how it works, you can get much better quality on any camera. I recently did a 5-day video competition at my school, and my group used my camera. I wasn't always the cinematographer, and for the scenes that someone else used it, everything looked like shit, but because I'm familiar with how to get exposure just right, I got some amazing shots.

It's all going to be personal preference, especially if you can get both for the same price.
 
the XL is way better than the VX hands down becuse it shoots 24p and you cna mount 35mm Canon EF lanes on it.

I like my GL2 and I think the Vx looks better physically and it is sharper but the Panasonic owns the XL2, VX2100, and the GL2.
 
i think that with all the new HD technology coming out, all of the higher end cameras now are going to become a lot cheaper/
 
seriously tanaka, your like 14 and you probably played with like what 3 cameras max? I've used just about every camera in the 2000-6000 range extensivly. I know what I'm talking about. I don't just get my informatiom from internet fourms, it's mostly from hands on experence. You need to wake up and watch what you call people. Because I know without a doubt that I know more about cameras, film, editing, production, ect. than you do. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm not just gona let you talk shit.
 
oook but from what I've seen 24p looks really ###### good compared to any other type of digital footage. it looks so cinematic.

and besides, I wasn't really talking #### about you. Like a toungue in cheek sort of insult. Its just in my opinion that 24p is not a gimmick and is awsome. that is all. Sorry if I insulted you.
